I agree. What I don't understand is why so many people simp for him.

I don't really care if people simp for him, I just personally don't really get it.

No, I've just seen people simp for him in general before. But I don't care who people simp for, as long as they are over 18 :)

I haven't really talked with Edgerabbit yet, so I wouldn't know.

Captain Laserhawk fits into none of those category. In fact, last time he had a bear as a boyfriend, he betrayed him. This mad must loathe boobs.

(What the hell am I on about?)
This probably makes no sense to anyone who hasn't watched the show
What? I think he's just a hurt twink who needs to get some help, & that help is locked away somewhere after being saved from death row by the 1 character I thought every here would appreciate like I do...
I think I was refering to the second half of that post, I was also tired when I made that post. Sorry if I confused anyone. Sometimes I wonder if I should've never opened my mouth online.

I was referring to how Laserhawk from the Netflix series was hurt by his ex Alex Taylor & wanted to save Bullfrog but Bullfrog was saved by Ramon aka Rayman which I thought people would have liked to see stand up against Ubisoft aka Edentech.

Watching all the reactions to the trailer before all the episodes came out & analyzing them in retrospect sure is interesting.
Hunchman801 wrote: Sat Oct 21, 2023 5:38 pm So, while that's not the kind of series I usually watch, I did watch Laserhawk because, well, Rayman. And like most, I was pleasantly surprised, not only by the overall quality of the series, but also by the way the treated the various Ubisoft IPs. That is, in very unexpected and unconventional ways, but which always felt more like a homage than a satire of the various franchises in question, and the result is creative and refreshing. Though originally wary of the premise, I especially liked what they did with Rayman, and I look forward to seeing what will become of him in the next season, should the show get renewed.

In fact, I think they did a better job here with the Rayman IP than we ever got in ten years of UbiArt games. Like I said many times, the gameplay was great, but the botched scenarios, the subpar lore, the inconsistency, the slapstick humor and other kindergarten jokes such as pig latin... none of that felt like respect.

So yeah, well done Captain Laserhawk team for producing this, and Ubisoft for giving them so much leeway. I look forward to what's next.
I don't deem Rayman Orgins to be a mockery of Rayman, just a different take on the franchise. It's cartoony like the first, & it's comedic like the third. But then again, it was my first Rayman game so of course I'm biased here.
Pirez wrote: Wed Oct 02, 2024 7:44 pm I mean... It's a very well known fact that everybody loves titties.

Except captain Laserhawk, of course : he's gay.
UH BUT MUH RAYFROG! [Nothin's really confirmed but there's no need to confirm. Nothing's True, Nothing's forbidden so bi-Ray for the win lololololololol.]

Just looked up the show on Wikipedia, very amused by the description of "Ramon"

Hunchman801 wrote: Mon Sep 30, 2024 8:41 pm Good cuisine is all about balance. There is none in fish and chips, you might as well be eating fried butter sticks.

Not that nice and crispy fish wouldn't be great with another side, though.
I'd be curious to hear how you two would make fish and chips more gourmet.
About fish n' chips? Add herbs & spices while using more flavorful fish, perhaps even with the skin! Not to mention adding a salad on the side & a tartar sauce dip. Replace the potatoes with sweet potatoes & top with fresh parsley & dill. Also use a panko batter cuz that pairs with seafood really well.

About Ramon? He's Rayman trying to reclaim his identity after saving Bullfrog from Eden & taking his revenge against the directors for keeping him in a gilded golden cage. He was their puppeted parrot who now broke free & mangled their faces.

I think the wiki is just paraphrasing the laserhawk website & trying to avoid spoilers. [I also remember reading more info was added as blurred text, either that or I'm confusing it with tvtropes.com.

The Heroes wiki has a better page than the actual laserhawk wiki [Ewww why did they both have to pick fandom though it's literally 1 of the worst options for wiki hosting!!!!!!]

Here's the page lmao; https://hero.fandom.com/wiki/Rayman_(Ca ... gon_Remix)

Well, it's a matter of taste and your opinion is certainly as valid as anyone else's! One thing, however, that I must point out is that yes, both Rayman 3 and Rayman Origins are comedic, but in an entirely different style.

The humor of Rayman 3 was praised by critics, who highlighted the different degrees of interpretation that allowed the game's jokes to be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Rayman Origins has slapstick humor, Rayman blowing up Betilla's skirt and other kindergarten jokes such as pig latin. Unsurprisingly, this had led a majority of fans to prefer the former.
