I am trying out the Ray1Editor to make a mod of Rayman 1 and am attempting to import levels from the PC and Jaguar versions to add/replace levels in the PS1 version. The problem is that I don't know how to convert the levels' file format (i.e. PC level files are .LEV) to the PS1 format (.XXX) and edit the game outline to add in additional levels. Also, while editing levels in Ray1Editor, I'm unable to copy and paste all the map content from one level to another. I am working with the first stage of the Bongo Hills level of Band Land in this case, attempting to put the PC version of that stage into the PS1 port.
Hi! It's sadly not possible to copy level contents like that. The tilesets are different between PC and PS1, so those would have to be modified, which would cause other complications due to how the VRAM layout is pre-determined by the game. I was planning on adding tools to modify these things in the editor, but there hasn't been much interest in using it so I never got around to it.
I placed the files correctly, but the editor gave an error, what should I do?
I'm selecting correct game path, but when i click "load level" editor gaves an error.
