Turkey
Kazakhstan
Kyrgyzstan
Turkmenistan
And for the regions:
Kurdistan
Dagestan
Crimea

No but I am giving you permission to edit this specific post so you don't give away the answer to the next person completely.

You picked some lesser known Turkic regions, I'm confident that if I asked for all of them you would've aced this question too! Saying Kazakhstan twice is actually not the only mistake you made in your answer, so don't worry about thatGreengoop wrote: Sun Nov 03, 2024 5:46 pm Happily! Without elaborating too much which answer was correct and which one was incorrect, I don't mind the majority issue that much. As long as the native people there have a Turkic history and background, I'm fine with the answer. You'll have to excuse me a bit because this is very muddy water and I can't both respect the native people and the majority population within the overall country both at the same time in matters such as this.Hunchman801 wrote: Sun Nov 03, 2024 6:39 pm Yeah my bad, I read too quickly and forgot about the second part of the question.
One of the regions is not Turkic and the other two, well, that's debatable because Turkic peoples are not a majority there.

Perfect! My own list switched Bashkiria with Dagestan, that's the only difference. I originally didn't think of Crimea but Goop was right, it would've counted as well.Hunchman801 wrote: Sun Nov 03, 2024 6:56 pm Oh sure, didn't realize I could answer again. A correct answer would be:
Azerbaijan
Turkey
Kyrgyzstan
Turkmenistan
Uzbekistan
Xinjiang
Bashkiria
Tatarstan
(Dagestan and Crimea do have sizable Turkic minorities but I thought I'd come up with other regions rather than copy Goop's list.)

Yes it does, the reason I wasn't sure is because I thought my rushed remark about Uzbekistan might count as an answer already.Rsandee wrote: Sun Nov 03, 2024 7:26 pm My bad as well if you didn't think you could answer before, the question skipping rule only applies for 1 round after you answered 2 rounds correctly in a row right?
I know the city was taken in 1453, but as for the age of Mehmet II at the time... 33, maybe?Rsandee wrote: Sun Nov 03, 2024 7:26 pm Question 16: Here is a Turkish saying: "You are at the age when Mehmet II conquered Constantinople, what are you doing with your life?" How old was Mehmet II when he conquered Constantinople?
Honestly it might should've, but you managed to slip that one by me.Hunchman801 wrote: Sun Nov 03, 2024 7:41 pm Yes it does, the reason I wasn't sure is because I thought my rushed remark about Uzbekistan might count as an answer already.![]()
