It says in the description for Liam Robertson's Unseen64 video on Phoenix Interactive's Rayman 4 that the game was planned to release for PS2, Xbox, Nintendo Gamecube & PC:

Is this an error? I've always seen mentions of Rayman 4 coming to PS2, Xbox and PC but this is the only time I've seen a GameCube version mentioned.
Was Phoenix Interactive's Rayman 4 planned for the GameCube or is this a mistake?

I've never seen Xbox or Gamecube versions mentioned. Could be a mistake on Liam's end, or maybe it was told to him privately. But most likely, even the developers didn't know this yet.
As far as I know, it was pitched for "next-gen": Xbox 360, PS3 and PC - but PS2 and PSP versions were also considered at different points. As development went on, the devs realized they had no experience making an action/adventure game like this and scaled back a lot of their ambitions. The game eventually became an isometric puzzle platformer exclusively for PSP, but that was cancelled as well.

Not surprised that they had no experience. I don't know what Ubisoft was thinking hiring the same studio that made shovelware like Winnie the Pooh's Rumbly Tumbly Adventure to make a new Rayman game.Droolie wrote: Sat Dec 07, 2024 3:05 am I've never seen Xbox or Gamecube versions mentioned. Considering the game was in development in early 2005, releasing the game for the GameCube would still be somewhat profitable. Since Rayman Raving Rabbids was l planned for the GameCube, I’d be less than surprised if Rayman 4 was.

FrameRater used to have a video on it, but it appears he’s since deleted it.
