Is there any way to properly emulate or get a PC copy of the American version of Rayman Arena?
Iv'e been trying for a very long time to play it again to a point I'm getting desperate.
Yes to both. I see the American PC version on ebay but it isn't cheap. It's not hard to emulate it either, but you may need to look up guides to emulation if you aren't familiar with how to do that.
Then there's the online version here but I haven't tried it yet.
If you don't mind piracy, there are working cracks for Rayman Arena.
At this very moment, I see more than 10 physical copies of Rayman Arena on eBay US for under $15 (some pre-owned). If you need international shipping, there are fewer options and it is indeed more expensive.
While helping someone out with some Rayman Arena modifications, I got a bit curious about some of the hidden pages in the main menu and decided to open them. For this I replaced the target ID of the options menu button.
It's nothing super interesting, however the first one especially is funny to see. If you ever wondered why the transition between the main menu and the LAN one takes almost twice as long as normal transitions, it's because another menu was supposed to be between them: the network choice menu, where you can choose between LAN or Online! (if the Ubisoft Game Service application is not installed, the button is greyed out and the text changed to "UBI.COM is not installed")
As for the other two "fake" menus, I think these are used so the menu has a "starting page" defined for its transitions, but the menu pages themselves are never shown.
Does anyone know a way to extract files (at least PNGs) from Rayman Arena for GC or Xbox? It would be lovely to get the bonus icons for the multiplayer Obstacle Racing mode and post them on the wiki...

I'll send you the texture files right away in case the icons are in there.
Would this game be a good introduction to the franchise for my little brother? He’s 4, loves cars and his favourite game to watch me play from the Rayman franchise is Rayman brain games… so I’d like to introduce him to a Rayman game.. I think this fits!
I'd say it's a tossup between Rayman 2 and Rayman M.
Rayman 2 is simpler gameplay-wise, but has more lore to follow.
Rayman M has no lore, but gameplay is more complex with different modes and can be more challenging too.
My son was 8 when he beat Rayman 2. He has since moved on to more modern and different games.
I've really been craving for a playthrough of Rayman M like the old days, but I don't have a laptop with a disc drive so my old CDs won't do. And I can't seem to find the game on anything like GOG or Steam. Any suggestions where I could relive some memories?
Oh yeah, it's a pity they didn't put more of these spinoffs on GOG Anyhoo, there are probably ISOs on archive.org, which I don't feel too guilty about mentioning since you said you have the old CDs yourself. There's a noCD mod and texture upgrade mods somewhere on the modding and utilities subforum too…

The Box Art of Rayman Arena in Taiwan.(These pictures I found on the Internet Archive)
There is a guy on eBay who has rare eastern Asian editions of many games, including Rayman M Chinese. I don't think many people buy his games at these prices, so it is more like having a digital museum one can browse.

You know what actually, there’s supposed to be a definitive pc version of Rayman Arena out there…
