I've never tried anchovies, or had anchovies on a pizza! Is it good? I might actually broaden my horizons and try it some day

Yes, they’re good, even on pizza! They add a salty kick

I am the only one that likes them in my family :(
I love eating them with cheese and zucchini flowers :)
You like flowers on your pizza but not pineapple???

Well in that case I would like to attempt to make you a rose and orchid flower pizza for Christmas! Maybe that will have a better reaction????? :hap:

But was it a full-size tire or one of those phony tiny spares? I

It was literally just a full sized tire on a pizza, you could probably find it by searching “Brazilian pizza”

Personally, I consider pineapple as true to pizza as tomato is. I’m sure Italy had riots when tomato was first added to pizza as well

Let's teach some pizza history here, I am so Italian that I know all of this despite this isn't taught in school (all my pizza knowledge is stored in my Italian genes by default)

Iirc tomatoes originate from America and they were imported to Italy in the 16th century, pizza didn't exist yet or it was in the initial stages of its creation.
Also, in Italy we use tomatoes so much that people might believe that they originate from here
Tomatoes are botanically considered a fruit but they're considered a culinary vegetable because of how we use them, so I highly doubt we had riots for the usage of tomatoes on pizza, fruit is considered illegal on salty dishes here.

Plus, an Italian legend says that the classic Margherita pizza (tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and basil) is named after queen Margherita, she liked this combination of toppings so much that they named it after her and became the standard type of pizza in the entire country :D

Pizza was first invented around the year 1000, meaning tomato was added at least 600 years after its creation. Pineapple was first added to pizza in the 1960s, meaning tomatoes are far closer to the addition of pineapple to the creation of pizza

I'm more curious to know if other fruits were considered ok to put on pizza before tomatoes became a thing on pizza. Also this is half accurate, tomatoes did not originate from the US, they originated from South America.

Indeed there is no contradiction here, because 'vegetable' is not a botanical definition at all. It is true that tomatoes' usage makes them vegetable, but they are often naturally sweet, and tomato paste is always sweet. So is pizza a salty or a sweet dish?

The confusion is all over Europe.

We refer to the US as America the same way we refer to most african countries as Africa : because despite all their flashiness they are a third world banana republic at the core.
