Played Outcore a couple days ago, thought it was pretty fun. Liked the jokes, and the story was really good. I recommend it to anyone who a couple hours to spare.

Ah, so it sounds like an indie game, am I correct?

I’m playing Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon for today. Chapter 20, trying to abuse the Starsphere’s amazing power.

Bought Fortnite: Save The World for £10 (it was on a discount!) and it’s actually great fun! Sadly it’s mostly overshadowed due to it costing money
Re: What games are you currently playing?
I have been playing in 16:9 mode in Rayman2 DC version recently.

I've completed Dark Souls 3 a few days ago. I personally prefer Bloodborne, but this one is fantastic too. The final boss is amazing

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I still have to play the DLCs, they're included with the Fire Fades edition. Actually, it was a bargain because I bought the entire trilogy, with all the DLCs included, for €30 aprox!Rsandee wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2024 4:56 pm If you haven't played The Ringed City yet, there will be more amazing bosses waiting for you there

The Nameless King was also a tough boss. The first part was annoying because of the camera, but I really enjoyed the second part, specially when his moveset was confusing and it was required to adapt quickly because he can kill you instantly

Re: Gaming Pickups/Purchases
Just recently got Metaphor: ReFantazio after my friend recommended it to me, and since it was a GOTY nomination (Even though I'm still busy with 3 other games that Atlus made, why are Persona games so long?). Im planning on playing through it soon, hopefully its good!

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Even with this game, I’m still not used to having to really slow down and think carefully when I plan (then again maybe I should have started on easy and not difficult since I’m still just getting into it)
Re: What games are you currently playing?
My son recently played through the original Portal and enjoyed it so much that he kept nagging me (in a good way) to give a try. So I played through the game. He was allowed to watch but not spoil anything or give me tips. It was interesting how each of us got stuck on different puzzles here and there, and even ended up with different solutions to a couple of them.
Overall, a fun game. On the short side, which is good for me, given that I don't have that much free time nowadays. The puzzles are mostly good and challenging in the right way. Platforming is crap, as it is in all Half-Life games seemingly, but it only gets annoying in a handful of spots.

Oh wow that seems like the perfect game for a child to me! The physics of that game are so interesting to play around with. What a great time. Yeah Half-Life platforming is kind of bad, I liked the part in HL1 where you have to jump through chemical processing though.dr_st wrote: Sat Dec 28, 2024 10:01 pm My son recently played through the original Portal and enjoyed it so much that he kept nagging me (in a good way) to give a try. Re: What games are you currently playing?
Sorry if this is a bit long winded, ahahaha.
Well, whilst washing my hands during my morning routine yesterday, I found myself whistling the first level music from Klonoa: Door To Phantomile.
So that was on the back of my mind all of yesterday. I felt really guilty about it. I'd brought it at a video game convention for 140$. And that's a steal for the original PlayStation Klonoa! The box/manual had seen better days, but I didn't think I'd ever find it again for cheaper, so I got it! Turns out it had minor audio damage in very certain levels. For example, somewhere in the second world near the end of the stage, if I stood around it would play a track from the last kingdom. Though from what I know, that's not supposed to play there, but I thought it was really neat foreshadowing.
Anyways, I had finished it a few years ago, got through all the levels, rescued all the Phantomilians, and I meant to go back through the levels to get all the green gems on the map. But the last handful of years were a total and utter doozy! 2 infestations, a global pandemic and other craziness. I just didn't have the time to get back to it or felt I would be distracted by all the chaos.
So today I was determined to finally get back to it and finish it entirely before the year was over. I grabbed my red belt collar, plunked on my blue cap and got to work. (Would've donned the gloves and the whole outfit, but I was on a timer here. And I was a bit rusty, so no gloves either. Fun fact: I did wear the whole outfit when I went to a renaissance faire as Klonoa and I love doing voices, so I learned and spoke nothing but Phantomilian for that one day. I didn't think anyone would understand me, so I was over the moon when a shop keeper actually knew what I was saying. I couldn't express my sheer joy in English though, so it must've just sounded like excited happy gibberish to the other customers.
)
Anywho, I enjoyed the intro, and headed in. I recalled planning to start from 6-2 and work my way backwards, so it would keep getting easier. 4-1 and 3-1 were already done from the last time I'd played it a few years ago, so that cut it down to 11 levels out of 13. It was really strange to watch everything backwards, and going back through it, I realized just how short and small this game actually was. (I'd say it was surprisingly easy too, but I'd be lying if I said I really needed to gather my bearings after a few years, I walked right off the start of 6-2 even though it was clearly bottomless, frantically tried to hover back on but I'd realized my mistake too late, and I dropped a life.
Didn't know you could even fall off there...)
So today, I got all the green gems in the normal levels. I was about to go to the extra stage, but...I had missed a path on 1-1 because I didn't remember which way lead to the end of the level. "I can do better than that." I told myself. So, I got every last gem in the level, which totaled to 150. I knew 130 was the minimum for the green gem...
Right?
The amount of DREAD I felt when it hit 150 and the green gem turned into a large blue gem was almost crushing.
"Oh no!...What do you mean there's a BLUE gem?!"
So it seems I have a bit more work to do before I can start the Switch Remaster...

I’m playing life right now, enjoying the new 2025 update!
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Found any bugs or glitches? Maybe some exploits that haven't been patched yet?

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I’m not sure, they’ve temporarily transported me to German servers where I’m a guest instead of a member, so I don’t have permissions to exploit glitches
