Re: What games are you currently playing?
I've been trying to do it on the USA servers and it's not exactly working either. The FBI enemies keep knocking at my door and doing the swat attack resulting in a game over. Thankfully I have backup saves so this isn't a problem, but it's definitely annoying

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I fear that if I go back to UK servers I might trigger the infamous “school, term 3” quest. Luckily, I’ve been watching documentaries on it for ages, so I should be prepared

Ok I don't know if things have changed since I was in School, but I thought the post-Christmas term was term 2? Term 3 being after Easter?

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Well, they’ve changed half terms into full terms, so they’ve doubled the terms. They still call them half terms fwr

Re: What games are you currently playing?
So that means there's 6 terms now? But they still have half-term holidays and Xmas/Easter/summer holidays?
Sure, why not?

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Yeah! Though my school calls them “October break” “Christmas break” “February break” “Easter break” “Half term” (June break just sounded off, I guess) and “Summer break”

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Yeah, we just called em half-term hols, and then the big ones Christmas, Easter and Summer. But eh, times change I suppose - like how GCSE grades are all numbered now.
As to be back on topic, I've been trying to branch out a little and try some games I've not played before. I'm doing a run of Sackboy's Big Adventure and I'm enjoying it overall so far, though I do find the movement a bit...slow for my tastes. Sackboy's always felt a bit weighty in the LBP games in fairness so I can understand it to an extent, but I just feel a bit too sluggish in the 3D space. It's not detrimental for the most part, but it is something that is bugging me a little.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I've started a playthrough of the BG&E remaster. It seems every time I play that, some major inconvenience befalls me right in the middle of it – last time I got so sick I couldn't work, and this time we had all the power outages

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Clearly the remastered version is cursed, and the original is the only way to go
In all seriousness, I'm guessing a long period of downtime is a run-killer, so fingers crossed that the power outages subside soon, so you may finally complete the game.
On that topic though, I still need to do a proper run of BG&E in any form, I've made attempts in the past but I always seem to fizzle out close to the end. Maybe I'll get the remastered version and have BG&E as one of the non-replay games that I actually manage to complete this year...

Well, it was right after I first finished the original that I nuked my system, but I didn't get turned off that either!Master wrote: Mon Jan 06, 2025 12:20 pm Clearly the remastered version is cursed, and the original is the only way to go![]()
Well, I was already taking it just a little bit each day, not running as such, so it's not too bad. But now I'm going back to work tomorrow and I won't have it finishedMaster wrote: Mon Jan 06, 2025 12:20 pmIn all seriousness, I'm guessing a long period of downtime is a run-killer, so fingers crossed that the power outages subside soon, so you may finally complete the game.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Not to barge in, but for the past few days I've actually thought about getting the 20th anniversary version of BG&E, but I didn't exactly know if it was good or notMaster wrote: Mon Jan 06, 2025 12:20 pm Clearly the remastered version is cursed, and the original is the only way to go

Could I get a few opinions since we're talking about it already?

Re: What games are you currently playing?
So, I've recently played the following:
Burnout Paradise Remaster: I knew the series, but I haven't played any of its games them until now. The reason? It's the only racing game that my friend likes
. It was available on the PS Store for €3, so I decided to give it a try. The game is good, arcade af and plenty of crashes, which is the fun in this game. You don't really need to be a hardcore races to dominate the driving, just make sure to have good reflexes. However, the UI is horrible, as well as the night time (you can't see anything).
Bloodborne - The Old Hunters: I played Bloodborne a few months ago and I loved it, easily in my personal top 5, but I didn't play the DLC. It had a -50% offer, so it was the proper time to buy it. The DLC is shorter than what I imagined, but it's a very cool one. The bosses are amazing and way harder than the ones you fight in the vanilla game, which makes it an even more enriching experience if you're looking for a challenge in these games. I wasn't expecting to fight a newborn as the final boss
.
Unravel: I bought Unravel 1 and Unravel 2 for €6. I'd like to play a bit more, but I didn't have much time. It's a platformer with puzzles where you control a tiny wool guy. It's interesting because you need to look for more wool constantly. Its music and aesthetic are both fantastic and relaxing. It reminded me a lot of Journey, a game that I'd like to play in the future because I didn't complete it.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
So I've been testing out Mario Party 8, 7, and 6 on my Wii in that order. The latter 2 games bring nostalgia of times when I had fun playing with family. Even though I was such a cheating b**** in the past. If only I could get them to play 8 with me....but that's a tall order
Re: What games are you currently playing?
I'm finally trying The Witcher! I am very intimidated by it. Huge open world games scare me, because I envision them taking me 30 years to complete.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Playing Deathspank TOV, the second game in the trilogy. I’m not sure if I prefer it to the original; the map is a lot vaster but the combat is definitely anchored towards ranged weapons, which I’m not particularly fond of

I really need to get into a Minecraft phase too. It's probably the one game that I'm not very good at.Greengoop wrote: Sun Feb 09, 2025 3:29 pm I, the great Greengoop, am currently in their two week Minecraft phase. The Super Bowl reminded me of a game I am very good at though: MDK! I've mentioned it before, but I finally got around to posting my all-time favorite recording so you guys can see it. I'll probably never be able to recreate this run but it'll always be something I'm very proud of.
