Well, it’s 90% of the Olympus maximus world in Rayman Adventures, I suppose :oops2:

I forgot Adventures existed :oops2:

Ubisoft is kind of a douche for killing the game, it honestly seemed so fun and had a lot of cool stuff jammed in it :?

Atleast when the Rayman Legends DLC thing comes out, (I completely forgot the name) we'll be able to experience it

I know right, like why? It had an active thriving playerbase (including me, who used to just farm adventures ) they just saw through and not only delisted it, but also made it offline years later :pascontent:

I wish I had gotten to experience it, however i'm a newgen and joined the fandom of January of last year

At least I tried Mini.... I didn't like it but I got to try like 2 levels and then never played it again because I found it boring and pointless

True, but Legends has the least story of any "main series" game (if you can call it that). Those of Rayman 1 and 2 are pretty simple, but they do the trick. Their purpose is only to introduce the games, give them a direction and justify the hero's adventures. Rayman 3 is a bit more interesting in that regard: the premise is fairly basic too, but various things happen throughout the game. Origins is probably the worst in my opinion, because they came up with a pretty bad story, realized it was bad and decided to cut it from the final game, only there's plenty of remaining bits of it and the end result is terribly confusing and probably even worse than the original idea. And finally, you've got Legends, with basically no story whatsoever other than "Rayman saw a tent with paintings inside". At least that one did not really create any confusion. :P

I choose to believe this is the actual story, but as someone said to me before (I forgot where and who), this doesn't exactly happen in the game.

They just go back to sleep for... a 100 years somehow, and now all of the Origins worlds, instead of evolving they just turn into their own things.

I still like the concept of the tent more though. It's interesting and fun :hap:

Origins is the worst in terms of story. It wasn't even that bad of a story either, they just cut it just to cut it, I guess. It actually made a lot of sense, too. :confus:

In other words, we should just start calling Rayman Legends a Rayman-themed bootleg 2D version of Super Mario 64! Although I would still choose SM64!

I definitely respect that about those games. Knowing it’s absolutely drenched in lore really puts me off playing some stuff

Well, I still think the story is still very basic, but I agree it’s kinda got a lot more steps than the first two

Agree with this 100%. Though some of the “confusing” stuff is just because some rayman fans are deadass thick

I’ve kinda just thought of it as a parody of the “100 year sleeps” in high fantasy, since Teensies in Trouble is essentially just that

I have never heard of this trope in media. Maybe it's because I don't watch fantasy related movies/shows :oops2:

Like how the joke with the magician in Origins is that his disguise of a star on his hat is so obviously bad, and rayman still falls for it because he’s an idiot. Or how the relic cutscenes are supposed to symbolise ancient myths, though that one might be a bit more subtle

....Okay, I admittedly fell for the frescos (I'm just calling them this since that's what they're called on Raytunes :oops2:) before I was told that they weren't true :fou:

Origins was the first Rayman game I played, and I had no idea what the hell Rayman was even about back then, so I was also confused about the Magician "reveal", but then I researched other games and realized that he was just pretending to be the R1 Magician. :? I feel as though even that they were portraying Rayman and his friends as dumb, He probably just deadass thought that was the Magician. Betilla and others were changed drastically, so he probably did just think that was just his homie until the reveal :oops2:

Or that's just what I choose to think. I have a lot of random theories about Origins since you have to fill in the blanks with the story :|

What about the magician reveal was funny? Aside from the dancing nothing about it was funny. And you have played Ubiart games long enough now to know what Rayman is like. Everything else has more personality than the characters themselves.

It’s ok I can forgive your sin of believing that the Rayman hair creature story was true. If you had not stated Rayman Origins was your first game then I’d have a different tone. ;)

I wasn't THAT dumb. I thought that was utter nonsense, but I still believed the Globox one :oops2:

Well, I mean, I guess I thought there WAS possibility of being true, but it was too stupid for me to actually believe :| The Globox story makes sense compared to Rayman had a wife/girlfriend or something and she liked him because he was bald... and... something something... uh... helicopter hair... glade of dreams... :confus:

As I state here, i just chose to believe whatever I wanted was true/false since there's zero story to go off of anyways :hap:

Jokes don’t have to be funny, they just have to work. Besides, do you think “oh, how unfunny, this show is so garbage compared to Natroto and Dragingballs” whenever you see Jessie and James show up in their god awful disguises and Ash falling for them? No, you just have a grudge against Ubi art games

And you have a grudge against the trilogy, especially 2 and 3. The only difference is my statement is true. :P
clearly, since you forgot that i had stated i liked origins
I know some jokes aren't meant to be funny, but then in that case I wouldn’t be listening to it since if it’s not funny to me, what’s the point? I guess you must have a different sense of humor than me, if groan-inducing puns, jokes, or attempts to ɐ̸̧̣̖͍͈̬̮̮̠̠͋̌̓͑̅͑̀̅̊͆͆̾͆̍͘͘͜͝ù̵̢̡͉̬͖̗͍͙͖̰̟͕u̶͎͇̦̱͖͙̥̳̱̐̇̓̅̾̐͛͘͜͝ö̴̬̗̺͈̻̥͎̻͚̅̃͑͆̈̒̀͛͠ʎ̷̜͍̘͔̻̺͂̔͐̎͗͛̃̽̕ m̵̳̮̩̞̼̹̣̫̺̦̘̟͇͙̩̳̣̑͑̈̔͊̂e̶̛̲̬͛͛̒̋̑̄̆̿̄̋͗̈͘ ̸̨̡͕͖͎͍̻͇̻̤̲̫̈́̍̅̇͐̍̿͐ẅ̸̦̟͈͈̝̯̠̫̲͎́̀̒į̷̢̡̙̬̣̮̦̹͍̙̝̹̟̐͛̅̈́̃͂ͅͅţ̶̛̭̠͚̗̼̹̝̮̜̥̤̊͑̊̍̀̋̓͛͋̀̚̕͝͠h̷̡̹̥̉͒͑̾ p̵̘̅̐͂͒̇͠͠ā̶̧̪̟̖̤͓̻̦͇̔͝͝y̴̢͈͍͚͖̜̦͖͈̯͖̔͒̈̄̋̂̔ͅͅr̷̛̦̞̆ṗ̸̛̝̺̓̊̑̔͝c̴̨͓̿̓́̎̄̂̃̈́̈́̑̄̿͗̊̇̽͝ ̸̢̨͍͕̠̼̫̰̣̀ͅt̸͇͈́̾̂̌͑̚n̸̞̳͕̪͔̥̱̖̱͇͙̟̦̥͍̙̽͋͑́̋́͒͆̍̔́͝ͅi̷͚͕̰̳͈̹͙̣̬͇̗̾̍̄͜p̸̡͚̲̔͋͒́͒̔͐̿̔̋̓̅̄̂̾̉̚s̴̬̫̜̞͍̺͉̳̪̯̎̆͌̒̉̈͂̽͠o̵̢̹̜̮̼͉̥̩͔̩̜̻̜͋̉̈́̎̌͂͝͝g̶̛̹͙͉̺̎̑̉̆͛̈́ are your thing.

I understand in that case then, at one point I did believe this story too. :oops2:
If I had to choose one of these relic stories to be true it would be the Globox one.

The concept of the Globox one isn't that bad I'd say. Just lazy.

I agree with that last part though. Did you know that My Singing Monsters (a game that's literally for little kids) has intensive lore that people ACTUALLY follow? It's a game... about singing monsters.

I don't like how they're focusing on adding to lore nowadays instead of just making silly things that have no purpose.... :|

I think Rayman benefits from lore though. The trilogy has pretty good stories (albeit a little bit not explored deep enough) that you can immerse yourself in and have fun with. I don't think Rayman was ever story driven, but I'd say it still benefits from having a good story. :hap:

Erotic... what? :boon:

Anyways, yeah, they have incredibly long and boring lore to the point where they have multiple youtube series' for it all. They also do livestreams to explain it further (or at least that's what I think they do? I never watch them)

They also include monster bios in the game for additional boring lore. :confus:

Enough of that, though, has Rayman Legends always been this vibrant? I have a mod on to make the plants colorful, but I'm playing right now and all I can think of is how interestingly saturated everything is in general. Quite beautiful, actually :hap:
