Rayman 2 crashes at The Canopy level

For some reason Rayman 2 crashes in this very specific spot in The Canopy every single time whenever I enter any loading screen after having gone inside a level. This is on the GoG version of the game.
I've tried all the general solutions on the GoG support page (compatibility settings, DEP exception, etc), I've tried changing the settings in the NGlide config, I've tried Ray2Fix but nothing seems to help...

Basically at the start of the level, whenever I swing on the first purple lum you come across.

That's odd. Have you tried reinstalling the game in case a file is corrupt? Also what happens if you don't use the purple lum? The level is possible without it by only climbing on the net.

I think I already tried reinstalling but I did it again just in case.
And I don't know why I didn't think to try getting past it in other ways, but after climbing through the area it still crashed after I jumped through the hole to get further into the level (both attempts). It also crashed another time while I was just climbing around which is very strange.

I do not, but from what I remember I tried it and he just comes back immediately.

Also I just tried going back to older levels and they also all crash once I enter a loading screen, so I guess somehow something changed that just broke everything. Because I could play the game totally fine up to this point. I also tried starting a new save file, and tried all the common options like changing compatilibty mode and DEP exceptions etc, and it still crashes on the first loading screen after the level's started every single time.

We had similar case before. It looked like DEP issue, but somehow it wasn't. I think we didn't find the solution.

You could start with changing your current API (from D3D to Glide or the opposite):
For Glide you could use Ray2Fix,
and for D3D, dgVoodoo:

If I try to use the Vulkan renderer the game just immediately closes when I start it up. Also for some reason opening the GXsetup while it's set to Vulcan makes all the settings blank.

I think I've tried changing my API already? GoG comes with NGlide and Ray2Fix (which I've tried a bunch) comes with dgVoodoo. Unless I need to do something specific with dgVoodoo to switch it to D3D.

I've also now tried all the possible solutions under Crash to Desktop and none seem to help.

Also thinking about it more, the only thing I can think of that changed at least close to when the game started to crash is that I got a new GPU, namely the 3060ti, though my old card was a Nvidia card as well, and it wasn't much older.

Where do you install the game to? I noticed the game usually works better if you let it install to the default location of "C:/GOG Games/Rayman 2". Probably due to some security/file permission issue.

You can fix the lacking options issue by the following:

Or just replace your ubi.ini content by the following:

(unfold "Use dgVoodoo (Direct3D)")

You could also change Vulkan to DX in nGlide Configurator - search for it in your system (if it's installed).

One of the recommended solutions I came across was installing the game in a different place. So I've tried both GOG's location and outside of it.
