Tbh I probably need to rewatch it to answer that. Been a little while.

I think I've made peace with the Rabbids, and overall I found the video interesting (I had no idea how far their lore went)… but did he HAVE to mention the bloody Mini-Villi story at the beginning ffs?? :pascontent:

Exactly! The bloke has absolutely no clue on what he’s on about, so he just looked up brief rayman lore and spaced it to the point of unrecognisability with obnoxious filler

However ridiculous that story is, I suppose it's fine to mention it with the appropriate caveats, but there's so many conflicting stories of Rayman's origins anyway that only mentioning one of them shows a regrettable lack of research on the subject.

Remember when people thought getting all the lums in the GBA version of RRR would unlock a bonus level at this rabbid structure?

Was this a playground rumour or an actual online thing?

I just remembered how lazy the devs of the GBA version of RRR were using the same rabbid boss four times

I mean, they obviously didn’t expect it to be a smash hit, since the DS, the best selling handheld console of all time, was already a year and a half into its reign. If they did, though, they would’ve converted it into minigames anyway

I definitely wouldn't call them lazy. The game was originally made without the Rabbids back when it was Rayman 4. As an artist who worked on the game said, they had to last minute redesign most of the enemies in the game to be Rabbids. So it was probably more efficient time-wise to use the same boss character.

Does anyone think the PSP version of this game was cancelled because it was too strong for the GBA/DS versions, yet to weak for the Console/PC version?

One of the former developers said that the PSP version was going to be a puzzle game at one point.

Oh that’s disappointing to hear, I like puzzles. I would be keen on trying this game if it had been finished.

Actually I made a mistake, it was the PSP version of Phoenix Studio's Rayman 4 that was going to be a puzzle game, not Rayman Raving Rabbids.

Fascinating, and was this the DS Phoenix Studio?

I wonder why they bothered including lums in the Gameboy Advance version of Rayman Raving Rabbids if collecting all of them doesn't unlock anything. Collecting lums in Rayman 2 unlocked the knowledge of the world and in Rayman 3 on GBA they unlocked new levels.

I guess they just wanted something like Tings to guide the player, but felt (rightly or wrongly) that Lums would be more lore-appropriate?
