– Got a rejection email today from a job I interviewed for last month
– Tomorrow I may well get a termination letter from my current job
– Found a lump on my remaining cat's leg, so we'll probably have to take him to the vet to have a look at it in the not-too-distant future…
– WiFi connection very flaky on my desktop PC tonight for some reason!

+ At least I'm making progress on my side project (the Windows 3.1 graphics driver)…

Thanks Master. In the end it seems nobody in my workplace got a termination email today, so evidently they're letting us wallow in anxiety and rumour for another day or so. Terrible leadership There's always the possibility that some of us will go in tomorrow morning and find our badges don't work, but I don't think they'd stoop that low…

Sorry to hear things are so bad for you too, I hope you get that holiday!

I suppose a stay of execution is something, but uncertainty is never fun to wallow over, I hope at the very least you'll get some clarity.

- Yeah me too, though coming to terms with things is still hard, especially with some friends moving out soon too, so I'm trying to carry on while also feeling a bit depressed.
+ But it looks like I'm getting there in terms of getting things out of the way, so hopefully that holiday will be here sooner rather than later.

– Apparently it's gonna take my company two more weeks to decide who's for the chop, but it has already been decided that nobody's getting raises or bonuses this year
– When things are like that one could be forgiven for looking at the occasional funny clip on YouTube during the day: but for some reason the recommendations then usually include something about how WWIII is about to break out, or similar doom and gloom

+ My computer didn't decide to waste my time with anything stupid tonight, unlike the last couple of nights, and moving the router a bit seems to have sorted the flaky WiFi connection…

+ We got snow! We usually do this time of year, for whatever reason. It was quite random but nice to watch the snow fall.

- It was freezing cold today and I hate the cold, I hate being cold...

-/+ There was some trash in the middle of the road, a big ol' bag. Nobody was driving out there, but it was in the middle of the road so braved the cold and moved it out back. IT WAS FREEZING. To be fair I didn't wanna waste time getting ready since it wasn't THAT far away...I only switched my house slippers for my garden boots. Thankfully I wasn't out there long...

+ Had a relatively...Okay day. Pretty slow and relaxed.

- Really draggy atm, so I'm doing less than usual right now, which is not a lot to begin with.

+ Yesterday, I did the Parkrun at this place I really like for the first time.
- My time was 30:57, yeah, this is gonna need some getting used to.
+ But I’m gonna try to go every week from now on! Plus my two friends go as well (and they have been since the summer, so they’re more experienced) so my goal is to keep up with them.

- Couldn't sleep last night, sleeping schedule getting worse but I'm going to try and remedy it by staying up another day entirely.
+ Got a PhD interview this week, things are looking really hopeful and positive but I don't wanna get my hopes up because I'm afraid of getting rejected.
+ Get to spend some more time with my parents' doggo before I go home, she's gonna be 12 this year and she was so happy to spend time with me yesterday.

Saying things in disguised form (here : in a drawing) instead of confronting the people that would have prevented the thing from happening.

Like here, in the third panel is in reference that my group of friends rejected several invitations during last year and that I felt bad (even though the drawing is exaggerated : they had their reason and they didn't cancel while everything was already set up. They ain't monsters). But I could have spoken to them in the first place.

I hear ya… Does that mean you have trouble expressing yourself to the therapist too even though they're charging quite a lot of money?

Yeah, now they're saying 3~4 weeks, even more than the two I had mentioned before! I had been looking around a bit (hence having another interview) but I don't think it's looking too rosy these days… I'd probably be better off going back and continuing full-time education for a while (thankfully I don't currently have a family to feed )

Haven't had a chance to bring him to the vet yet, but the lump doesn't seem to be changing rapidly. Hopefully I can fit in a trip to the vet next week…
