Rayman games in GOG Dreamlist
Hello,
I just wanted to announce that on GOG like 2 or 3 months ago was made a Dreamlist where people can vote for the game which can potentially get added to the GOG store to buy. Of course the owners of the store are saying directly that even games with highest votes might not be added because of developers disagreement, but still it is worth trying. And there are also Rayman games in this list not only PC versions but also PS versions like Rayman 2 Revolution or Rayman Hoodlum's Revenge from GBA. And that gives a chances for people who would like to play other versions but can't buy old PS2 or GBA equipment or find a game in good shape from eBay or other type of stores.
If anyone is interested to vote and potentially have chance to play other Rayman games on PC from other platforms there is a link to GOG Dreamlist with Rayman keyword in search: https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/?title=Ra ... order=desc

I knew this existed, but I never knew you could vote! Or we could get other ports of the game
I'm putting in my votes now!

Yes, if you have an account you can vote. It is limited per day but I think around 30 or 40 votes per day you can give. And if those Rayman games from other platforms would be added to the store that would be perfect!WPTheModder wrote: Tue Mar 18, 2025 7:43 pm I knew this existed, but I never knew you could vote! Oh wow, that's nice! I'd really like for Revolution to be on GOG since I feel like Rayman 2 is incomplete and missing a LOT of stuff
Let's see if some day it will happen!

I really would like to play like you Rayman Revolution especially it is more expanded world than the basic look in NDS or PC. And I really like how the world looks like there and be able to experience it by myself than only be possible to watch on YouTubeWPTheModder wrote: Tue Mar 18, 2025 8:06 pm Oh wow, that's nice! Don’t forget Rayman M / Arena! That game is in desperate need of a rerelease.

This reminds me that there's a fanmade remake of Rayman M that features online play, but I forgot where you play it

Gog is an online game shop where you buy retro games, I'm pretty sure. Correct me if I'm wrong

Re: Rayman games in GOG Dreamlist
I'm happy someone made this topic, we need to support the release of more Rayman games there!
This means you truly keep your purchases forever (as long as you keep your setup files of course) regardless of any service's eventual closure, can easily move them between computers without any restriction, and you aren't forced to use a launcher whenever playing your games!
While retro games is more of their thing they also sell modern ones, the games they manage to get depends if publishers are willing to sell their products DRM-free, which is GOG's big speciality as all of their games don't have DRMs.WPTheModder wrote: Thu Mar 20, 2025 8:59 pm Gog is an online game shop where you buy retro games, I'm pretty sure. Oh wow, I never knew most of those things! Wish I bought more from GOG instead of buying all of my Rayman games from the Ubisoft Store

Re: Rayman games in GOG Dreamlist
They also have other advantages like providing many goodies for free, such as wallpapers/artworks, avatars, manuals, or soundtracks (the latter can sometimes be a paid DLC like on Steam). Aside from Raving Rabbids (which only has its manual), the Rayman games got that stuff for example!
Their optional GOG Galaxy 2.0 app also tries to unify most game launchers by letting you connect to other accounts and import your games into a super-collection (including consoles for the purpose of listing your games or adding your friends for example). They managed to get official Xbox and Epic integrations while most others like Steam, PlayStation, Ubisoft Connect, Battle.net, games like Minecraft, etc. have unofficial support you can get through GitHub (with the search/download being available directly through GOG Galaxy).
And yeah, sometimes I regret buying on other platforms as some games eventually get added to GOG years later...* They had their GOG Connect feature which allowed you to claim a few specific games you already bought from Steam for free on GOG, but of course, it was never going to work out in the long run when it only meant less profit in the eyes of publishers.
*And yet I did buy the Rayman games I already got from GOG a second time on Uplay (Ubisoft Connect/Store's previous name) for the sake of supporting the franchise and to have the illusion of expanding my collection like the massive clown I truly am
Though, we don't have much choice for some games which remain limited to Ubi's store like Jungle Run and Fiesta Run, and Legends still isn't on GOG due to the Ubi Connect implementation which gives us all of these pesky pointless updates on Steam

Re: Rayman games in GOG Dreamlist
That's why I was and I am pretty hyped if it would be possible to get more Rayman games from various platforms on GOG where you can buy them without DRMs so you would have it forever as yours.
And to be more specific name GOG is from Good Old Games, but they for years also offer nowadays games like Horizon Zero Dawn, Baldur's Gate 3, etc. So they don't focus only on old/retro games, but also on every games. Just they have something like Preserving Program in which they want to release old/retro games again on their shop to not let some titles be forever forgotten. And with GOG Dreamliost they allow all users to add more games.
