Thank you. It's been a few months now, not sure if it's getting easier…

It's normal to feel bad after some months, especially if the pet has been with you for many, many years. I remember that it took me about 4 months to not feel that bad after getting home and not seeing my buddy running around and celebrating that I came back. What I've learned about that is that you don't move on, you learn to live without them. It isn't an easy process, but you'll slowly feel better. Best wishes

It is beautiful what you say but two of my cats have been crushed one after the other and now I do not let out the youngest so that they do not happen to them the same thing, but they are very keen, so I do not know what to do ...

Hmm, maybe you could train your cat to get used to living indoors (I wouldn't know how to do that, though... :oops2: )? My sister's cat doesn't like going outside and actually prefers to stay inside the house at all times so it's possible.

Oh no that’s really sad! I’d recommend keeping them inside unless you can trust them to go out, I have a cat and have had for 6 years, he’s ran off several times and we life on an A road but he’s still alive luckily. Here’s a tip:

Don’t let them out until they are 1 years old and have a good knowledge of staying safe, unless they are meant for indoors

Listening to music or trying to solve a problem that occupies my mind makes me feel at ease usually. Composing music also, anything creative like that.

Also yeah, there are a lot of nice people in the community.

Indeed. It's been a nice time around today. RD wouldn't even be possible in other communities.

I am very rarely stressed, but if I do start to feel anxious, I just remind myself that I'm not usually the kind of person to feel anxious and that usually fixes it.

I find it hard to write or draw when I'm upset. So I've got music and or taking a walk, preferably during a very light rain or just before it starts to rain. I suppose the warm breeze and gray/gold sky is calming?

You're so lucky! :oops2:

For me I guess it's chilling out with the lads in the workplace, or getting a bit of fresh air, or even both, at lunchtime! :)

For me, posting here keeps me calm because it lets me have a conversation without social anxiety getting in my way

Oh my, really? With how much you've posted so far I'm kinda surprised you have social anxiety outside of here. :o

You know what, given my own nature of avoiding talking to people when possible, that's understandable.

Other ways for me to keep calm lately have been going outside and getting fresh air/having a drive, listening to white noise, and doing some meditation exercises. Those have been helpful for me too along with my usual methods since I've been getting more stressed and anxious lately.

Listening to (mostly obscure) music and running/walking rather long distances keeps me calm. Forget this topic existed until now :oops2:

Yeah walking outside with cold winds blowing feels so nice and relaxing. If it's hot outside though (which unfortunately most of the time it is) it's only relaxing if I'm listening to something on my earbuds.

I love walking when the weather is nice and it's quiet. I like when it's sunny and nice, even if it can be too warm at times, I just prefer the mood it sets. I love nice Summer weather and long days. I really don't like Winter because it gets dark way too early and it feels like the day is over while you didn't get to do much. Something about the longer daylight just makes it feel like you have more options do to more things in the day.
