Gasp. I can't believe you would mention such a thing. I'm going to have nightmares about this!

He's actually doing tours! However, yeah, he hasn't released a song in a long time :?

Ah yes, Al Yankovic, my favourite JoJo reference! ゴゴゴゴ :noel:

Image

I discovered his parodies with Eat It and Fat in the late 2000s when I got introduced to YouTube, and he instantly became my favourite comedy musician, I love that guy! The day he leaves us will be a tragedy indeed...
Now everyone, let's dare to be stupid and launder our money in the washing machine! :fou2:

(I'm only putting the link because the embedding is not allowed for this one... the uploader did their job right and dared to be stupid! :proud: )

Peak! :nostalgic:
I happen to know a song from another game with a very familiar sound sample... Sounds even more similar to the first track in the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire in particular! :mryellow:

I do find this track interesting because it's very bleak and dour, and while PS2 R&C could definitely hit some deep vibes (Gemlik Base comes to mind), this is probably the darkest it gets to feel. And yet it still very much carries the musical aesthetic of the PS2 R&C games.
I love how this track is a good break in between all the action, and an efficient reminder of Ratchet & Clank's situation: in the middle of all the hilarious satire and the non-stop action with the most fun shooting Ratchet ever had in his life, you may tend to forget that you're a prisoner in this situation with your life on the line at any moment! David Bergeaud could really nail everything with that music style! :)

I found Al's parodies from a troll who used to torment me and my friends  He made a troll video with the Fat MV, and I was like "huh, I've heard of this dude, let me check him out..." :hinhin:

I am forever thankful for him introducing me to Weird Al, even though he and his friends made our lives a living hell :hap:

I remember someone here already noticed this instrument in the Hall of Doors appears in other Rayman 2 tracks and other video games, but I don't remember if it has been identified.

I think Deep Stone Lullaby is one of my absolute favourites from the Destiny franchise, it hits hard. Fell asleep to this lo-fi version once, and I need to sleep now soo...

Listening to the best Rayman soundtrack version ever right now! :hehe: :noel:

I love how some of the tracks sound like those "(X) but it never starts" sort of memes!

NGL sometimes if I'm feeling brain-dead I'll periodically press the 0 key when listening to tracks to recreate the same effect. It amuses me.

Nelly - Hot In Herre

I never realized this song was so vulgar. :oops2: It was probably because whenever I'd hear it on the car radio as a kid, they would play the clean versions, but WOW- Little me would never be able to listen to this!

I mean, what do I expect about a song that is literally about women stripping, but still. :|
----
While on the topic of Nelly songs,

Nelly - Ride Wit Me

This is another song that I didn't know was vulgar, but I remember when I listened to this again for the first time, I spat out my water at the “Range Rover all wood, Do me like you should…” onwards part

I'm not opposed to swearing, it's just I used to really like these songs as a kid, and it was a shocker hearing such things… But still, they stay in my playlist and I still jam to them as I did then!

That's a great song!

My favorite lyrics are when he says

"A local boy kicked me in the butt last week
I just smiled at him and I turned the other cheek
I really don't care, in fact I wish him well
'Cause I'll be laughing my head off when he's burning in hell!"
