Especially if it’s a more obscure game. Most pages on the (fandom hosted) DeathSpank wiki have a lot of Red (unmade) links and say lasted edited in 2011.

If you're looking for an easy way to get to non-fandom Wikis, Indie Wiki Buddy is a nice browser extension that lets you know if there's a non-fandom wiki whenever you look something up on a search engine or if you happen upon a fandom WIki.
