I just don't understand the 'since late 2024'. That's the historical Jewish name of the region since times BC. I think you are probably referring to an in-progress bill in the Israeli parliament to abolish the usage of the term 'West Bank' and replace it with 'Judea and Samaria' in all official government documentation, which was indeed submitted in late 2024. However, I assure you that Jews living in that area and most Jews living elsewhere in Israel were using the name for as long as they can remember it.

The answer was Dr. Benett Omalu. This doctor was the subject of a 2015 movie starring Will Smith named Concussion, which is why I thought this subject wasn't so obscure.
