We don’t live in the same country so thankfully for < that would never happen.

<‘d recommend popping around at <‘s local parkrun if ^ ever vists on a Saturday. ^’ll totally get a “wow, Texas!” When they ask if there’s any tourists and ^ responds.

< wonders if < should've taken up running when < was a kid, < does like to walk at a brisk pace, alas, < has to be careful these days, between the <'s foot and back pain, < can't really exert <self like that now.

< thinks ^ should go out for a light jog at a track one day, then ^ should see if ^ can manage any harder

Well, <'s trying to get back into going out for walks, as it stands right now < can manage a brisk 6km/h pace for about 45 minutes. <'s planning on seeing if < can hit the hour marker.

Perhaps if < feels <'s got the strength, < might pick up jogging, or perhaps that Couch to 5k thing. But < will have to be wary all the same, <'s had some pins and needles in <'s foot when <'s pushed <'s luck on <'s walks, but <'s chalking that down to too much too soon as < did have a period of inactivity, and <'s hoping it's just <'s body needing to adjust again.

< hopes, cause otherwise, <'s future prospects when it comes to general mobility and fitness doesn't look too bright...

Well, < can say ^^ is probably more fit than < is. Or at the least has more stamina than < at any rate. < is still stuck at 15-30 minute walks. And because it's getting hotter, < is even less inclined to go out and walk during normal times. If only the beach was closer to <.... :oops2:

Yeah the warmer weather does kill <'s motivation when it's boiling over, right now though < can handle it so <'s making the most of it before it gets too much.

Hah, tbf while < didn't blast music, < definitely slacked off during PE lessons back in high school. It's funny in a way, < has a greater appreciation for keeping active now than < did back then, but < reckons it's because < doesn't like sports, it's noisy and off-putting. But < thinks if < had the opportunity to do brisk walks and jogs, < might have not found it so bad.

Or maybe < just needed to grow up and get the perspective < has now...who knows xD

Yeah, the warmer weather is definitely quite a setback. < went from 26:16 down to 27:41 due to it at Parkrun (which may also be because <‘d skipped the previous week)

< is most definitely not a sports fan, so < definitely didn't like PE. < think there are only a few sports that < would be ok with watching, and any other kind < would half-pay attention while doing something else.

There are other ways for < to keep active than playing sports. Now if only the places < wants to exercise are quieter and less packed.

< isn't a massive sports fan either, like < doesn't go crazy to find out the scores of every football match for example, but < is very interested in darts. < loves to both watch it, and play it. < would also watch golf if it was a bigger tournament, but < is absolutely awful at golf in real life.

< is not aware of these either, despite them apparently being available here.

< is curious to try golf but <‘s practically a novice and would probably play badly. < used to play tennis back then too.

< says it’s a 5k run held at lots of parks around the world every Saturday at 9AM. < would definitely recommend it if ^ wants to get back in shape, as it’s not competitive and ^ can take breaks as much as ^ wants.

Here’s a map for ^ to check if ^ has a local one

Well, it's not a run like ^ can manage, but <'s pleased to see <'s got the capacity to manage larger sized walks again, < managed a 7.52km walk in 1:15. <'s a bit sweaty but not as winded or achey as < was worried <'d be, so this seems to be a promising sign.

God almighty, < is glad future R&C games had battle arenas, trying to grind bolts is not fun.
Still, <'s completed a run of the R&C 2016 remake/reboot/thing. And < is surprised by how 1:1 it can be in certain spots, < knows from developer blogs and interviews that they did rip level data from the original R&C to speed up development, and < is amazed how much < recognises now having played the original.

The sad thing is, even though < doesn't agree with the story changes and the tonal change, when it comes to the levels themselves, they look stunning. Add in the fact that a lot of them are pretty faithful to the original and you can't help but wonder how pretty a genuine 1:1 remake of R&C1 could've been.

Anyways, back to grinding, <'s trying to see if < can go for the platinum.
