I’d say the average length would be about 50 meters, but you also have to factor in turning around a lot! My Parkrun is quite fortunate because there’s not many sharp turns and it’s on (albeit bumpy) stone pathway.

I’m excited for summer holidays, but I’m dreading the heat. My friend says running in the heavy rain and in the dead of summer are the two worst experiences humanly comprehendable

I like rain as an aesthetic and a vibe, not as a logistical entity.

I love rain when you’re driving down the motorway in March, not when I’m running through it in July.

If I'm being completely honest, I don't particularly like driving through the motorway when it's pouring down, the low visibility and high speed ain't fun.

Rain as an environmental background noise is great. As something I have to deal with on the outside, no. Just no. But I'd take rain over the blazing sun down here. If only we didn't have consistently hot sunny summers down here....

Precisely, when you're not in the thick of it and can just appreciate it, it's a nice feeling.

Oh yeah, I remember two occasions (thankfully only two) where it was coming so thick and fast that I just kept driving for dear life, trying not to lose sight of the car in front of me :oops2: Both times I was in the right lane too, which wasn't very comfortable! The second time, I would have missed my exit if it hadn't cleared up as quickly as it did!

Yeah, it's really terrifying, there's one occasion that really bothered me and that was when there was some numpty driving in these conditions without any lights on, was very hard to make them out and I did not have a nice time trying to manouevre round them. If conditions get that bad, I tend to hold back and try to stay in the left-most lanes these days, though I admit sometimes left-most lanes are a bit too slow for my tastes, but better safe than sorry.
