Welcome to the forum, fix12run!

I used to be a lurker before I joined also! (My twin, that's ChronicTraitor, convinced me to hop on.)

Nice signature by the way! What program do you use?

Hehe, so the secret's been revealed yet again! :hinhin:

Yes, Cosmic and I are twins, though since I've had my hair cut shorter a year ago, it's easier for relatives/family friends to tell us apart. They can still get us mixed up somehow, even though our hair simply doesn't match anymore...and we only somewhat resemble each other. Honestly, we couldn't be more opposite, we just so happen to have the same looks. Speaking of twins, I'm working on that playthrough, I swear. It's just that things are a bit difficult at the moment. Everything that could've gone wrong or get in the way of it has been... :mefiant:

Anyway, welcome fix12run! I think you'll like it here!
Lots of artists and retro-sorts here who are into that sort of thing, me included! I definitely prefer retro games over newer games.

Oh c'mon Goop, you really think I wasn't going to catch that joke?

Yeah, it's been a bit. This playthrough's really been taking my soul longer than I was hoping for...I could easily tear through the game, if stuff out of my control wasn't happening outside of it. Like multiple thunderstorms, a power blackout, getting a health checkup over with...Then there's me having to iron out glitches and finding out the ROM was the wrong one this whole time because of a specific glitch halfway through the game. I think I've finally sorted everything out, it's just a matter of testing it to make sure that hopefully nothing else goes wrong out of nowhere... :mefiant:

Welcome to the forum fix12run! We're glad to have you here! I was a lurker for years before I joined, and when I did make an account it took me almost two years to start socializing. :oops2:

By the way, I really like that signature!

Edit:

(I think I need not point out the irony in the fact that - as of writing this - Cosmic is Aurora and Chronic is the Armored Toad :fou:)

Thank you :-) For my signature in particular I used Clip Studio Paint, but I jump programs a lot when it comes to digital art and don't really stay tied down to a single one for long. It's paid, but usually goes on sale for half off around the holidays. I generally prefer pen-and-paper art to digital, but purchasing a drawing tablet and upgrading art programs has made me more interested in digital art the past little while (as well as moving & not having a scanner anymore, ooops.)

Funny how that happened, huh? One of us had to pick baddies for us to not have the exact same ranks. Evil Twin? Me? Couldn't be!

Murphy's law... :oops2:

I wish you well on getting everything fixed, and also hope everything goes well! I know stuff like that can be very tiring- but I'm glad you're getting through it!

Oof, sorry about your scanner.

And I suppose I should have said programs, not program!

As for myself, I tend to doodle on my ancient tablet, though not too often these days...
(I also can't imagine having to pay a service to just draw!)

Sounds terrible :( I also hope everything goes well for you both!
Also, what playthrough are you talking about?

As mentioned in my quote, I've been struggling/planning to record a playthrough/'guide' for Evil Twin: Cyprien's Chronicles for the Dreamcast.
(It was WP's request for me specifically to play it! :proud:)

I say 'guide' since I do intend to show off a few shortcuts I've found that make the game easier in some places, but I won't pick up every last collectible or 1UP. I want the player to discover some stuff on their own, but I also want to answer, 'what item do I use', 'where do I go from here', and 'how do I kill this stupid boss' with my gameplay itself. At one point early on in my first run-through, I had gotten stuck and needed a hint from another person's video guide, so part of me also wants to do this so that nobody else winds up stuck like I was. There's already a bunch of other video guides out there, sure, but I'm more or less making this playthrough specifically for those on the forum, really. :hap:

Hello everyone.

I first discovered this site years ago but never posted anything on the forums until now.
The wiki has proven helpful time and time again and I made a few edits too. The discussions on the forums are intriguing and I have a particular interest in speedrunning-related discussions as well as resources such as sprites.
So I thought, why not properly introduce myself for once and see where things go.

I've been a part of the Speedrunning Community for a while but at the moment, I'm not an active player.
At this point, I have less free time and can't commit to gaming the way I'd like to.
My main interests in terms of Rayman games are Rayman 1, Rayman 3 GBA and Rayman 2 GBC but I also enjoy Rayman 2, Rayman 3 and some fangames.
I'd love to talk about these games every now and then, even though I will likely not be very active.
