Isn't Ghost of Tsuhima a western game? By Sucker Punch iirc.

Re: Video Games Knowledge Quiz - Season 5 - DaveRattlehead
Since there are no new answers I think it's time to move on, right?
The game isn't really that obscure, but it's totally unexpected. The answer was Kingdom Hearts III. Here you have the song. Do you like it? Personally, I don't

Rouge like are when you have to start from the beginning, I’d assume a rouge lite is the same but just with restarting you at a point that was near where you were previously?

Is a rougelite a game with the same basic principles as a roguelike but has a different mechanics?

Re: Video Games Knowledge Quiz - Season 5 - DaveRattlehead
Rougelikes remove all progress you made during a run, and rougelites allow you to bring over items from previous runs, I believe. Haven't played either in forever...
Re: Video Games Knowledge Quiz - Season 5 - DaveRattlehead
So roguelike is basically like Doom with pistol start, and Roguelite is continuous play?Ithasmore wrote: Wed May 14, 2025 6:50 pm Rougelikes remove all progress you made during a run, and rougelites allow you to bring over items from previous runs, I believe. Haven't played either in forever...

Re: Video Games Knowledge Quiz - Season 5 - DaveRattlehead
I know roguelike uses an RPG-style gameplay (I love Pokemon Mystery Dungeon heh), so I'm pretty sure roguelite is the same way too, except not as harsh or punishing, hence the "lite" in its name. I'll use Fire Emblem as an example here, where in older games defeated playable characters are considered permanently dead and can't be used anymore, whereas in newer games there's this option called Casual mode where these characters can return even if defeated in battle.

Re: Video Games Knowledge Quiz - Season 5 - DaveRattlehead
EdgeRabbit was very close, but Ithasmore was more specific! In roguelike games, you always start over from the beginning, but in roguelikes, as Ithasmore said, you always keep some of the items/progress unlocked when you start over.

Re: Video Games Knowledge Quiz - Season 5 - DaveRattlehead
I'm going to guess the controversy was about Thor not looking like the stereotypical masculine Thor we know from Germanic mythology and the Marvel movies. Thor in that game was pretty slender and his power is more about speed than absolute strength.

Well, i did see some people disliking him because he was fat, so maybe it's that?

Re: Video Games Knowledge Quiz - Season 5 - DaveRattlehead
I remember people getting upset about it reusing too many assets from the other God Of War games.

God fucking damnit. I loathe this game so much that I forgot I actually knew the answer.DaveRattlehead wrote: Wed May 14, 2025 6:00 pm Since there are no new answers I think it's time to move on, right?

Another reason to hate KH3 in the books.

Yup, the controversy was around him being fat

Re: Video Games Knowledge Quiz - Season 5 - DaveRattlehead
Was it one of those games that allowed for an exploit to mod their PS3's or to boot hacked game copies/homebrew?

Assuming it’s something sex related, was there a very explicit costume/character featuring in it?

I gotta say this one's a bit obscure, so here's a clue... SHAME.
