You're right though, i can't believe the place is over 20 years old already. Such a big milestone in RPC's history!

You thought that was late, I joined 15 years after the site was created after lurking for awhile, and I was already in my 20s!

I’m positive at least 99% of forums this old are now defunct, thank god for the wayback machine. I haven’t seen an unofficial forum be this active before

Re: The reunion thread
Well, I announced my return on the French forum, but let's do it here too, for English-only members (and for some Tings!
)
Although I don't think I'm known here as much as on other parts of the RPC. After all, my main activity was on the French wiki, then on the French forum (when it was more active than now), then on English wiki and then on English forum.
Never tried to have more exchange with fans here, yet I'm proud of my English knowledge.
I must love French way too much. And maybe because I feel like I'm at the office when I write in English.
Anyway, "that guy from French wiki" is back on RPC.
After more than 2 years
Long story which I will not develop, I will just say I needed "some" time to think about myself, though I didn't thought it would be so long.
No problem with RPC members, no problem with Rayman, no identity crisis, I just needed to... think about other things, see new things.
Sorry for the missed messages, sorry for the missed events like Record Day, especially the last one linked to this Reunion Thread, I was away of all these and needed it.
Now, I'm back on RPC, ready to share again my love for the Rayman series which never left me.
And ready to check all things I missed, I have a lot to do.
But it's good to be here again!

Welcome back and nice to meet you!
So many things happened in the community while you were away, I'm glad we still keep updated the documentary thread so you can read a summary of everything that happened

The documentary has to be one of the best ideas that has ever come from this place, and that’s out of a LOT of good ideasItzalDrake wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2024 3:54 pm I'm glad we still keep updated the documentary thread so you can read a summary of everything that happened![]()

Re: The reunion thread
I already wrote a lengthly reply in the French section, but welcome back boombo! You were sorely missed and it's a pleasure to have you back. Not to worry, there will be plenty more reunions in the future, so here's to many more years of fun, good times and... French wiki stuff.

Credit where credit's due, we got the inspiration from the RaymanZone documentary. Ours' been going on for so long that it has dwarfed its predecessor, though.Greengoop wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2024 5:44 pm The documentary has to be one of the best ideas that has ever come from this place, and that’s out of a LOT of good ideas

Re: The reunion thread
Thank you, thank you!
Very happy to see the ones I left, glad to meet the ones who joined while I was away!
It's true the Pirate-Community Documentary is a perfect way to see what I missed during these years, I read it sooner this day.
A lot of things happened indeed, I know it may sounds generic, but it's so cool to see Rayman community still inspired in 2024
, while there's still a terrible lack of official content.
Sure I was aware of the most important official announcements, Sparks of Hope and Captain Laserhawk release and success being the first of them, but concerning Rayman games, I'm still blocked at the Rayman Adventures period, personally.
Rayman Mini is still an inaccessible exclusivity and I have A LOT of videogames I didn't played yet because I don't have enough time for them.
The last Rabbids games are still waiting for me a drawer...
So...
) princesses and Evil Teensie #42,I think I will mainly talk about the very old things I know, like these games where Rayman had to fight killer moths and caterpillars from Hell. Don't mind me!

Re: The reunion thread
Well, that shouldn't be a problem, as I found a solution for those "more recent things", but enough said, I won't bother you with wiki stuff just yet.boomboleros7 wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2024 11:48 pm ... yeah, when I will go back there, instead of more recent things like viking () princesses and Evil Teensie #42,I think I will mainly talk about the very old things I know, like these games where Rayman had to fight killer moths and caterpillars from Hell. Re: The reunion thread
It's funny to read this. I remember a post you wrote like 10 years ago in which you stated you were cringing about your past posts and it seems you still are haha. It's been mostly the same for me, I've avoided this place for many years as well as to not face some of my own cringe again either! I decided to return around the time you wrote this as I graduated and was looking for work. I've been playing Hades and trying to learn some coding, learning a language on the side. I'm excited to start my PhD soon and I can tell I'm pretty much in the same head-space. I guess I'll play some Rayman Redemption with the free time I have left, I haven't given it a try yet and I should probably check it out.spiraldoor wrote: Wed Sep 18, 2024 12:49 amOh, all right.Master wrote: Sat Aug 17, 2024 2:39 am Honestly no idea, there's been a fair share of unexpected faces as is. So I'll make a completely unrealistic and ridiculous prediction instead that'll never happen.
Spiraldoor.
Hello everyone. Happy to see you're all doing well. I've avoided this place for a long time because I prefer not to dredge up cringeworthy memories of teen edgelording, but now that it's been half a lifetime I suppose I can drop by...
I'm doing OK these days - a lot less neurotic and argumentative, anyway. Been in and out of third-level education slightly more times than is ideal, worked on and off in web dev and videography... I'll put this vaguely, because I'm still keen on my privacy, but let's just say I've finally found a somewhat remunerative way to put my one actual strength (English) to use.
Haven't really had the stamina for video games these last few years. I liked Rayman Redemption, though - and a couple of others, like Hades and Hollow Knight, have brought me back to those good old days of carefree mystery.
