Re: The You Game!
< just had the worst lag spike while trying to post in the music thread
Re: The You Game!
Well yeah that's not really the cringe part, the cringe part was when < was trying to actually prove something. < don't remember what, < don't think < was proving religion was real because < honestly was never part of that club, < just was part of the pragmatic club of "why not? You got nothing to lose, just don't steal or murder or anything". The cringe part was when < was trying to prove some vague point of why religion was needed for something or whatever and it was basically just a manifestation of the culture around < and the expectation of elders.Greengoop wrote: Wed May 14, 2025 8:19 pm< is a bit late to the party, but < wonders if ^ is talking about how ^ used to post about how ^ was religious “just for the sake of it”?Rsandee wrote: Fri Feb 28, 2025 11:25 am < still remembers <'s discussions and arguments in the religion thread 10-15 years ago.![]()

Re: The You Game!
< thinks you mean the "formulas".
Well it says there, the volume equals the Area of the Base times the Height. The bases in questions 1a, 2a and 2b are rectangles so it's really simple, you just multiply the three lengths. In question 1b the base is a circle so you have to find the area of the circle (πr²) and multiply by the height. The involvement of π is presumably the reason they're asking you to round to the nearest tenth of a metre…
< isn't sure if this is helpful, let me know if you need any more pointers…

Re: The You Game!
< hopes that goes well!
< has noticed that since < played Half-Life Alyx, the weird intermittent seize-ups on <'s SSD seem to have stopped. < can only guess that there was bad contact in some SATA connector, and that running the motherboard so hot for so many hours (since HLA was way more demanding than any other game < has played in a long time) caused that bad connection to resettle into a better state. < is not sure how to feel about this

< thought of the same explanation reading ^'s post.PluMGMK wrote: Thu May 15, 2025 1:03 am < hopes that goes well!

It's definitely not a good sign, but I guess for now it's possible to ignore the problem eh
Re: The You Game!
< doesn't think that sounds ideal if so. It would probably be more ideal if the SSD itself or the cable was the issue rather than the motherboard having bad solder joints. < really hates intermittent issues like this which have no clear solution. < doesn't like the fact they can just reoccur intermittently otherwise.

Re: The You Game!
< says it's definitely not the SSD itself since < replaced it last October. The cable was replaced over Christmas, but the replacement one was also an old one < had lying around…

Re: The You Game!
Haha < was at a supermarket at checkout (a staffed lane, not self checkout) and wondered: what if < tried to scan the beverage can in <’s hand through that customer-facing membership card scanner?

Re: The You Game!
Today is <'s birthday, however < feels... nothing? < was excited at first, but now that the day's come...
< now notices his excitement for holidays is starting to dim. Fast.

Re: The You Game!
The best birthdays are the ones shared with loved ones, < thinks.
(< doesn't celebrate <'s birthday for that reason. <'s loved ones usually leave because the next day is a bank holiday that usually ends on a prolongated week-end. Case and point : < planned just an excursion to a bar but everybody declined, and to add insult to injury <'s father snatched < after work so that I can help with his relocation but his lone gift was a bluetooth speaker he said he would have thrown out otherwise and a pack of fresh raspberries. <'s friends did make a cake at the following week's meetup though.)

< just had the absolute worst fucking idea you can ever have for a Rayman OC. < can't wait to draw it.
