Re: The Teensies' General Knowledge Quiz – Season 11 - Pirez
Yeah... That's a hard no on the border collie, St Bernard and Dobberman.Ithasmore wrote: Thu May 15, 2025 6:33 pm Husky, German Shepard, Border Collie, St Bernard, and dobberman? (Really just listing big dog breeds that I know)
According to my list, the Canadian Eskimo and Greenland Dog aren't crossed with wolfes, even though they are used for sledding.DaveRattlehead wrote: Thu May 15, 2025 6:59 pm German Shepard, Husky, Alaskan Malamute, Canadian Eskimo and Greenland Dog
I looked both of them up and I don't find a source saying they are, so I'm afraid I'll disavow those two.

How about just naming different countries and their wolfdogs. Let’s go for French Wolfdog, German Wolfdog, Russian Wolfdog, Belgian Wolfdog and Austrian Wolfdog.

*sigh* Do I have to withdraw this question again?
I'll let all of you answer again if you want to.

How about German Shepherd, Austrian Shepherd, Husky, Alaskan Malamute and Inuit Dog?
Re: The Teensies' General Knowledge Quiz – Season 11 - Pirez
Getting closer, but the Austrian Shepherd doesn't seem to be part wolf.

Just a quick question before answering.
Inuit dog and Canadian Eskimo dog (this one seems to be a bit controversial) are different names for the same dog breed. Greengoop got closer with his answer, being the Austrian Shepherd an incorrect one. So... Can we count the Inuit dog as valid?

Re: The Teensies' General Knowledge Quiz – Season 11 - Pirez
Hmmm... That's embarassing. While checking Inuit Dog, it lead me to the french Wikipedia page as some other breed. My bad. Cross-referencing the sources, the Inuit dog / Canadian Eskimo is not part wolf (it is explicitely stated in its Wiki page).
So after further review, Greeny's answers does not progress anything.

Samoyed yes, Belgian Shepherd no
Re: The Teensies' General Knowledge Quiz – Season 11 - Pirez
German Shepherd, Husky, Alaskan Malamute, Samoyed and the Japanese Akita?
Re: The Teensies' General Knowledge Quiz – Season 11 - Pirez
That's a no on the Japanese Akita.
Hint : there are quite a few on the board, but if you must make guess based on countries you might want to look for countries that stopped existing not that long ago.
All of you may answer again.
