Green Day- Jesus Of Suburbia (Part 2- City Of The Damned)

Code: Select all

At the center of the Earth in the parking lot
Of the 7-Eleven where I was taught
The motto was just a lie
It says "home is where your heart is," but what a shame
'Cause everyone's heart doesn't beat the same
It's beating out of time

City of the dead (Hey, hey)
At the end of another lost highway (Hey, hey)
Signs misleading to nowhere
City of the damned (Hey, hey)
Lost children with dirty faces today (Hey, hey)
No one really seems to care

I read the graffiti in the bathroom stall
Like the holy scriptures of the shopping mall
And so it seemed to confess
It didn't say much, but it only confirmed
That the center of the Earth is the end of the world
And I could really care less

City of the dead (Hey, hey)
At the end of another lost highway (Hey, hey)
Signs misleading to nowhere
City of the damned (Hey, hey)
Lost children with dirty faces today (Hey, hey)
No one really seems to care (Hey)

Currently listening to Mario Kart 7 OST on Nintendo Music.
I used to play this game online a lot as a kid and I'm filled with nostalgia now 🥺
It feels so good listening to Nintendo music in high quality and I hope that it will be released on pc one day so I can use it while doing my stuff on PC

Wake Me Up - Avicii

I haven't heard this song in maybe 7 years...? :oops2: I'm revisiting it now because I just got reminded of its existence. Used to love this song as a kid :nostalgic:

R.I.P. Avicii, this is a certified banger

Oh this is one of those quintessential 2010s tracks, you don't necessarily know it innately, but the vibes it gives.

Simple Plan- The Worst Day Ever

Code: Select all

[Verse 1]
6 a.m
The clock is ringing
I need to spend an hour snoozing
'Cause I don't think I'm gonna make it
I punch in
I'm still sleeping
Watch the clock, but it's not moving
'Cause every day is never ending
I need to work, I'm always spending

[Chorus]
And I feel like I'm living the worst day
Over and over again
And I feel like the summer is leaving again
I feel like I'm living the worst day
I feel like you're gone
And every day is the worst day ever

[Verse 2]
Yesterday was the worst day ever
And tomorrow won't be better
It's history repeating (On and on)
Summer plans are gone forever
I trade them in for dishpan water
And every day is never ending
I need to work, I'm always spending

[Chorus]
And I feel like I'm living the worst day
Over and over again
And I feel like the summer is leaving again
I feel like I'm living the worst day
I feel like you're gone
And every day is the worst day ever
Whoa, every day is the worst day ever

[Bridge]
It's so long
I can't go on
It's so long
I can't go on

[Chorus]
And I feel like I'm living the worst day
Over and over again
I feel like the summer is leaving again
I feel like I'm living the worst day
I feel like you're gone
And every day is the worst day ever
Whoa, every day is the worst day ever
Whoa, whoa, whoa, is the worst day ever
Whoa, whoa, whoa, is the worst day ever
Whoa, whoa, whoa, is the worst day ever
Whoa, whoa, whoa

Same, a lot of 2010s songs really remind me of the summer back then

Blink-182- Always

Code: Select all

I've been here before a few times
And I'm quite aware we're dying
And your hands, they shake with goodbyes
And I'll take you back if you'd have me
So here I am, I'm trying
So here I am, are you ready?
Come on let me hold you
Touch you, feel you, always
Kiss you, taste you all night, always
And I'll miss your laugh, your smile
I'll admit I'm wrong if you'd tell me
I'm so sick of fights, I hate them
Let's start this again, for real
So here I am, I'm trying
So here I am, are you ready?
So here I am, I'm trying
So here I am, are you ready?
Come on let me hold you
Touch you, feel you, always
Kiss you, taste you, all night, always
Come on let me hold you
Touch you, feel you, always
Kiss you, taste you, all night, always
I've been here before a few times
And I'm quite aware we're dying
Come on let me hold you
Touch you, feel you, always
Kiss you, taste you, all night, always
Come on let me hold you
Touch you, feel you, always
Kiss you, taste you, all night, always
Always
Always

THE best song in Sonic Generations… which was only in the 3DS version. I’m still disappointed that the levels and bosses from that version didn’t show up in Sonic X Shadow Generations. :(

Sonic Generations (3DS) - Big Arms

Yes, I know it was called Big Arm in that game, but it’s been called Big Arms for years now.

Such a great one indeed! :D
Sadly it's like Sonic Colours Ultimate... Not so ""Ultimate"" when you don't even bother including both versions of the game and when nearly everything about your """remaster""" sucks 4ss... At least, Sonic X Shadow Generations was a good remaster, and it came with a free masterpiece of a game! :hehe:

I just remembered that Biolizard shows up as a boss in Shadow Generations, so one could count that… :hehe:

Gotta say, it’s tough to beat the original!

Meanwhile, on the Dark Side… (with another 3DS-exclusive banger)

And so does Radical Highway, so technically we got two pieces of 3DS content! :mryellow:

It's hard to improve on perfection! :noel:

Ah, that was an extremely good remix, oddly enough it would have been a lot more fitting for a Modern act! :)

I wouldn't call this one a bad version... but a great part of me is glad they didn't use it in Shadow Generations and only remixed the bits that don't smell sound like post-Taco Bell! :P

Speak for yourself… :beurk:

Anyway, to cleanse our ears of that Muddibog-like mess, here’s what I believe to be the second best song in Sonic Generations! Easily my favorite (official) version of this iconic tune! :mryellow:

Oh man, I miss my copy of Sonic Chronicles now. But I got everything so I didn't have a reason to play it anymore...

Also it took me a moment to remember what track this actually was...Big Arm from Sonic 3, I think? I can't remember if that track was used in S & K or S3 & K...Because I'm having too much fun with Hyper Sonic to care about the boss music.

Though, even if it is a little bitty, I like the ominous droning notes back there. Gives it a sorta alien vibe...Given Nocturne's in space it...Kinda works? I just can't hate on Chronicles, I just think it's neat. (Diamond Dust being Central City's music was nice too, since I played 3D Blast when I was a lil' nugget.) :nostalgic:

Big Arm was used in both. It was used in the Sonic 3 standalone, but when locked into S3&K it doesn't play in Launch Base. For S&K and S3&K, it plays during Egg Mech fight in the Death Egg Zone, just before you get to Doomsday (if you've got all the emeralds, that is, otherwise it's straight to the credits).

I don't think that's a remix of the original Mr Dark boss theme, it's not the best song, but I can sort of give it a pass considering it's for the GBC, which doesn't have quite as comprehensive the sound hardware as a DS would have.
