Good to see that I had the right hunch about this!
Well, better than nothing...

Now if only they could actually release publically the Rayman 2 Steam port that's been stuck as an unlisted preorder bonus since Origins...

Another generic ~230mb UbiConnect update for various games including Legends today... Huh? You expected that these would actually add stuff from now on because we finally just got achievements, you think Ubisoft will suddenly care about Rayman again now? :noel:
What a grand and intoxicating innocence!...

But this, at least, is good news! :)

To their credit, they did eventually remove the unobtainable ones, I should log in at some point and see if i've got them all (I might not have the 1mil lums one, I don't remember if I had the time to give on the PC version).

I have 2 Questions:

1. Has this demo ever been publicly available?
2. Is there a chance that the unused Crouching Huns world may have inspired the Wild, Wild East from Rayman Adventures?

Chinese RL intro(I recorded videos from my NS and extracted the audio)

1: I don't know, but I would guess not.

2: While that is a possibility, it seems more likely to me that Wild, Wild East was created as an expansion of the Dojo world from two of the game's princess rescue levels and the game's Online Challenges.

As a quick side note, has anyone else noticed that Rayman Legends is pretty much always on sale? The Steam and Switch versions seem like they're always 8 dollars or less on their respective digital stores, and the game's even free with PlayStation Plus and Ubisoft Classics. Don't get me wrong, the fact that it's so cheap means that more people can buy and play it (though I don't know anyone who knows Rayman but hasn't played Legends at this point), but isn't that still a tad bit odd? :pardon:

I was just thinking due to the style of architecture around the place, and also the steppes you quite often run through. I felt it was more a fusion between those two and mystical pique.

I'd be interested to see the lifetime sales of the Rayman games, partially because I like to see numbers, but also because it'd be a good point of comparison compared to Ubi's bigger franchises.

I get a little tired of folks saying a new Rayman would "obviously" sell millions which could be true, but would it sell more millions than an Assassin's Creed? I think people need to remember companies are more interested in RoI, and if they can get more money putting Devs towards a new AC Vs a new Rayman...which one makes the most sense? It's telling that the only time Ubi seems to make an effort to diversify is when they're in crisis, otherwise it's milk the premier cow.

Anyways, that's my little soapboxy rant for the day.

Absolutely true ^, I feel as if a lot of the people thinking about the sales for this upcoming Rayman just assume that everyone who’s ever played a Rayman game/is going to buy this one is a diehard Rayman fan who’s middle finger is for the Rabbids and they grind Rayman 3 Scores for 12 hours a day. There’s not too many who are absolutely hooked for a new 3D Rayman.

Not even a 3D Rayman game, just a new Rayman game in general. Development costs money, artists, marketing, managers and licensing, all are costs involved in making a game.

If a new Assassin's Creed or Far Cry sells exponentially more than a new Rayman, even if it does cost more to make, then it still makes more sense to make the new AC or FC, simply because the ROI, the money you get back, is higher.

To be clear, I'm not advocating for this approach, it's a soulless and dreary way to approach things, but giant corporations are soulless and dreary enterprises dedicated to the acquisition of profit, and it doesn't matter how loud the fanbase may be, the money talks louder. And it annoys me that folks don't seem to understand this and constantly bleat things like "ubi hates money," when it's quite the opposite.

(And to circle back to my original point, that's why I'd like to see the lifetime sales xD)

That “Ubi hates money” thing is really stupid. Sure, they’d get your money, and they’d get the “Rayman Community”’s money, but they’re obviously gonna get more money with assassins creed, just dance or whatever other “slop” they wanna put out. Unfortunately, everyone seems to think that they hate the money for not listening to small groups within the endless moneymaking circle. Even Rayman YouTubers (who don’t seem to be the most knowledgeable about Rayman in the first place) believe this.

Ubi's getting tons of money just selling the existing Rayman games over and over.

If they're constantly on sale, I'd be inclined to wonder how much money they're taking in, plus even if they're on sale, how many new customers would there be versus people who already own the games?

Oh dear, I hope I won't feel this way if I play the game multiple times. It's my least favorite mainline title, but I don't straight hate the game....I merely think it's too easy for me :oops2:

Anyone who prefers Origins to Legends has either only played Legends, only played Origins, hasn’t played Origins for a long time, hasn’t played Legends for a long time, or hates it out of spite due to it being the last and most popular Rayman Game.

How can you prefer Origins over Legends if you’ve only played Legends?
