(LOOKING FOR PROGARMMER!) Gaia: A Rayman Fangame about his daughter
In this fan game, you follow Raymans daughter (Gaia) and her friend Mia (Murfys daughter) as they try to find where Gaias adoptive brother is.
This game is inspired by Rayman 1, even with Gaias design! Gaia and Mia act like one character, Mia acting like Gaias flight ability and the "YEAH!" at the end of levels. Gaia is non verbal, so wont have any voice lines.
This game will have cutscenes, like in R1.
Now we are looking for a programmer and a musician, so if youre instested... please PM me!
I will use this topic to post animations and updates!

I don't want to be the debbie-downer here, but I've been around these forums and other communities with fangames in general to know that it's very rare to get help for a project if it's just a conceptual idea. Normally fangames with teams usually began with an initial one-person effort that's got something already in place and folks kinda built upon that.
Feel free to share what you can, but if you do want to do this I would strongly urge you try and learn some of the techniques yourself, if not just for having a basic technical understanding of what you'd be asking folks to be doing.

Re: (LOOKING FOR PROGARMMER!) Gaia: A Rayman Fangame about his daughter
I haven't done fangame development myself, but if I were to go on such an enterprise, I'd be looking at what sort of tools I'd be wanting. For 2D fangames, I think GameMaker is pretty popular. I've had friends dabble with Godot and Unity as well. I have dabbled with Unity for some 3D modding stuff, but it was very much with guidance - I didn't have much of a clue what I was doing
Then there's stuff for generating your assets, if it's a 2D game, you'd be wanting to draw sprites, and then there's also level tiles and backgrounds. Can't say I know much about creating 2D assets outside of using a traditional raster graphics editor, so this may be something you'd want to research. Likewise for music.
Adding onto that, you'd probably want to spec out what exactly you want in your game. I'm a stickler for specs, so I'd probably write up a document explaining the scenarios, locations, levels, gameplay ideas etc. It's a good idea to put pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard to actually properly think out what exactly it is you want, and a spec works well as it provides a nice set of requirements for you to work against when actually trying to implement your ideas in the game proper.
As I've said, I've not done fangame dev myself, but I have worked on personal projects and what I've suggested is effectively an analogue to what I usually do. You're going to be looking at a lot of tutorials, regardless of what you choose.

Oooh! Cool! L'll check those out!
Rn im making 4 animations to test out Gaias movements. Idle, walking, jump and landing. Im looking at Rayman 1 animations and cross refecing them so Gaia has a little more connection to her dad!
But yeah, im willing to program the game myself, maybe with just some help?

I really like the idea of a punk rock sountrack, and if it does make it as final i couldn't be happier. But... There's the sound track, and in general sound design... Say, can i record the sound effects? I have a lot of thingamajigs lying around that i could put to use.

If there’s a fitting time, then that’d be seriously cool

The twist is in the google doc for my au but not many people read it anyways... all im gonna say is that theres a twist that changes the games to a darker tone.

I could do a minor bass line for that part!
