I don’t see anything surprising about that? Kazakhstan is a post-soviet country, and a lot of Russians live here, too (including me). Also, Kazakhstan had been russificated before.
In the recent years, people actually started speaking less Kazakh and more Russian, which is considered a problem right now.

I thought it was the complete opposite, with Kazakhs resenting Russians and trying to separate their country as much as they can with Russia? Especially with the countries aim to change the alphabet from Cyrillic to Latin by 2025 2031.

Also I researched a bit more into the Russian boy, and he wanted to rape the girl (who was three years younger than him) actually. Einfach Furchtbar!
