I finish main school on the 11th July so I’ll have that weekend but I go on a residential to Germany the following week. Thus I return on the 18th just in time for Record Day!

It just means a school trip where you stay for multiple nights and do various activities! I’ve been on trips to Cornwall (2022) and Belgium (2025) this way.

It’s common for places in North America to be named after places in the UK for some reason. (With a New- prefix like New York, New Jersey, or merely just a copy paste like Essex, Preston, and yes, Cornwall ), so I’d imagine so.
