I prefer the French version over the English dub
I've always believed Globox's voice doesn't fit at all in the English version...

Re: Rayman 3
Hmmm, I'm now intrigued to try out the other Rayman games in different languages to see the differences. I think I've talked about this before but I remember seeing someone play the Korean version of Rayman 3 and I thought that looked real fun.

Re: Rayman 3
Exactly how many different variations of Rayman 3 are there in terms of language? I want to see which of them is the funniest.

With all due respect, I FUCKING DESPISE THE ENGLISH VOICE ACTING OF THIS GAME. It’s just the same unfunny joke that Billy West’s overrated arse spits out expecting all the 12 year olds that worship him to laugh, whilst the people who want to just have a bit of fun are subject to this crap. I’ve heard the French voice acting and it’s so much more fitting, and some of the jokes are actually funny!

Re: Rayman 3
Is that so? Well I look forward to hearing that version then in that case! I've only heard the game in two languages so far.

Re: Rayman 3
Apparently the Slavic Dubs are pretty edgy, and the Hebrew Dub is quite light hearted, but I’ve never actually played those versions so I can’t say for certain.

“razoff is a tumblr sexyman” doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. Dude is built like something teens fawn over!

Re: Rayman 3
Going off what I've seen be classed as Tumblr sexyman material, Razoff seems rather tame. Though considering Sans and Spamton are amongst that pantheon, I'm inclined to wonder to what extent build comes into it.

Re: Rayman 3
Interesting that a urban area concept was being considered for the game even though the Glade of Dreams is like a magical fantasy place, Maybe something that can be revisit for a new mainline game
Re: Rayman 3
When I replayed the game with the english dub a few weeks ago, I really realized how much funnier the french dub was. Murphy straight up getting bleeped whilst reading the manual in the intro always gets a very real giggle out of me.Greengoop wrote: Sat Jun 07, 2025 7:23 am With all due respect, I FUCKING DESPISE THE ENGLISH VOICE ACTING OF THIS GAME. The French dub is probably my go to for every subsequent Playthrough.

This reminds me a little bit of Hillys City in Beyond Good & Evil, although slightly differently themed.HazBlackSlick wrote: Tue Jun 17, 2025 3:11 am Interesting that a urban area concept was being considered for the game even though the Glade of Dreams is like a magical fantasy place, Maybe something that can be revisit for a new mainline game

Same, maybe I'm biased because I played the French version first but I find that his goofy voice in this version is a much better fit than the high-pitched voice of the English dub.DaveRattlehead wrote: Fri Apr 18, 2025 4:08 pm I prefer the French version over the English dubI've always believed Globox's voice doesn't fit at all in the English version...

Re: Rayman 3
I like Raymans voice in the German sub specifically. I’m not telling yall why. Figure it out yourselves.
But I do like the English dub personally, but i will respect y’all’s opinions!

Re: Rayman 3
The series has toyed with that concept before with Aeropolis in Rayman: The Animated Series, but they never did go all-in on that, which makes sense. That being said, I would love to see some sort of Teensy village or a city set in the treetops show up in a future game.HazBlackSlick wrote: Tue Jun 17, 2025 3:11 am Interesting that a urban area concept was being considered for the game even though the Glade of Dreams is like a magical fantasy place, Maybe something that can be revisit for a new mainline game
I've never heard the French dub before (I'm just assuming that the voice they used for Globox in the cutscene at the end of the Bog of Murk was similar to the French version's voice, but I could be wrong), but I agree that John Leguizamo's portrayal of Globox doesn't really fit too well with the character; he still did a good job, but they could have chosen a better-fitting voice actor.Hunchman801 wrote: Fri Jul 04, 2025 12:38 pmSame, maybe I'm biased because I played the French version first but I find that his goofy voice in this version is a much better fit than the high-pitched voice of the English dub.DaveRattlehead wrote: Fri Apr 18, 2025 4:08 pm I prefer the French version over the English dubI've always believed Globox's voice doesn't fit at all in the English version...

I’m gonna be so honest, Reflux didn’t really do anything wrong except for trying to kill Rayman..

Re: Rayman 3
…and teaming up with the game’s main villain André, and stealing the Scepter of the Leptys, and beating up at least 28 other victims and likely eating their brains (though all Knaaren do that, so that’s debatable). So yeah, Reflux is a pretty bad guy. But hey, if there’s one thing good about him, it’s his first fight theme!EdgeRabbit wrote: Wed Jul 23, 2025 11:07 pm I’m gonna be so honest, Reflux didn’t really do anything wrong except for trying to kill Rayman..

Re: Rayman 3
Tbh about the first point, he was in a vurnable state that André fully took advantage of. He saw how reflux was unkillable and how he basically couldn’t function outside of his one job he’s had for years and swept in to recruit him for his own selfish gain. The reason reflux acts the way he does is because he isn’t used to the outside world, or any other roles other than his warrior status. Basically the only thing he had to himself was taken away by Rayman, then when he was in a state of anger André came in and took advantage of him.
I’d argue it’s everyone ELSES fault. The little shit (gumi) encouraged this behaviour by throwing in randos that came into the temple, then throwing him the moment he was defeated. Just sounds like he was thrown off from the only thing he’s known for and Andre used that to empower himself.
I’m not excusing his actions but I feel like his character is often overlooked.

Re: Rayman 3
I’m definitely with RayGamer99 here. Reflux was no way “exploited”, he was a murderous villain and Andre was a murderous villain too.
