Yeah right, you totally did this on purpose. Why do I think this? Because you would never see me post on the politics thread!

Yes, specifically because it’s you.Greengoop wrote: Mon Jun 16, 2025 6:54 pm Wait, you expect me to pay attention to the person who posted it?![]()
Just finished the Mario side of my SMG file. Gonna take a break to wrap Sword up but can’t wait to do the Luigi side soon!

Chapter 1 of Deltarune's release feels like a lifetime ago at this point for me, I believe I didn't play it straight away but I did end up playing it when it came out on Switch, and I've played each successive chapter on release.Magelin wrote: Tue Jun 17, 2025 5:16 pm Finished the Chapter 1 of Deltarune today, really looking forward to playing more![]()
It's interesting how transitive Chapter 1 feels in hindsight. It felt very much like an interesting but not quite as fleshed-out yet spruced-up Undertale spin-off at the time. but having now played upto Chapter 4, even if it does share many commonailities with Undertale, I think Deltarune feels moreso like its own thing - even though it still shares many intrinsic links and characters with Undertale.

Surprisingly, i didn’t even get into Deltarune much, even though i was a really big Undertale fan back thenMaster wrote: Tue Jun 17, 2025 5:20 pm Chapter 1 of Deltarune's release feels like a lifetime ago at this point for me, I believe I didn't play it straight away but I did end up playing it when it came out on Switch, and I've played each successive chapter on release.

Yeah, the whole chapter, even though it was pretty damn interesting, just felt like it wasn’t enough..
I dunno what else to say, don’t remember much about Undertale, and i’m totally not playing this game because of those lesbians and that blue guy speaking early modern English or whatever
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Tron Catalyst is out and I'll test it tonight on stream. I'm so pumped

EDIT after two hours playing : Ooooooh boy is it so shallow. Combat is very loose and progression is very not clever but that latter point may improve with time. But if you set up a time reversal mechanic, you can pose some meaty challenges within the first hour. So far it's very linear.
Also presentation is boring. Uncharacteristic for a Tron media and also shameful since the last game had great visuals and was made by the same people.

I've been playing Rematch, just pure dopamine into your brain. Thanks to this game now I understand why do shampoo instructions exist. I can't believe people are so dumb man, not even a pass!

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Got the Gex Trilogy on my hands the other day. 30 USD is pretty steep for 3 old games, essentially emulated, although... I guess faithful. Only really purchased it pitch in to spike interest for a new Gex game. And to replay all the games of course. Kinda boggles my mind that Ubi has never ported at least Ray 2/3 to modern hardware and storefronts. Though ideally they would just remaster them, Crash N. Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy style!
Oh, and the games are good as always imo. They did improve on some things after all! Sucks in-game saving is gone though, you have to do it through a separate menu of the trilogy...

Hey, i've played Gex : Enter the Gecko before! ...With sound off, of course
It's fine, by the way.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Been playing Mario Kart World for maybe less than a week now, and I've been loving the heck out of it. I appreciate the return of unlocking characters, and the Switch 2's take on Rainbow Road (I didn't put in spoiler brackets because we all knew it was coming) makes for a satisfying finale. The Knockout Tours are a fun mode too, forcing you to make a mad dash for the top positions or literally die trying - though it can get annoying when you get destroyed by two or three items and have no way to get back on track. I don't really understand why so many people are calling the game's Free Roam underwhelming, because I've had a blast just doing the P-Switch challenges and finding the different collectibles. Shoot, just driving around makes for an entertaining time-waster. And then there's the phenomenal soundtrack, chock-full of arrangements of tracks spanning the entire Mario franchise (and even some of its spin-offs) that makes driving between tracks or roaming at one's own pace that much better.
This doesn't mean the game is perfect, though. The complete lack of a Story Mode, the underwhelming rewards for the Free Roam challenges and collectibles, and the - to put it kindly - tedious process of farming Kamek items to even have a chance at unlocking the "NPC characters" leave something to be desired. I still don't understand why DK and Pauline only have one costume each - maybe to make way for some sort of Bananza DLC? - or why the "NPC characters" don't have any costumes, or why there isn't an in-game jukebox where you can listen to the aforementioned remixes, but hey, maybe they'll be able to rectify some of these things at some point. Maybe free updates that add new costumes for characters and quality-of-life features, like with Super Mario Odyssey's DLC, or even paid DLC that adds new tracks and drivers? Considering the success of MK8 Deluxe and its Booster Course Pass, there's a high chance Nintendo will have more content for this game in the future - the question is when they'll roll it out.
Overall, the game might have some rough spots, but it is still a really fun way to kick off the Switch 2's launch, though I'm still waiting with bated breath for Donkey Kong Bananza to come out. 8/10
(And look at that, I've made a mini-review. Whoops
)

You know, it's very funny you mention Mario Kart World. I hear Nintendo just released an patch that totally SCREWS the online mode's fun. Also Mario Kart and story mode has never been a thing. Would it improve the game? Dunno.
Back to playing Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, Cake Mania 2, and Mario Kart Double Dash.

Did Super Smash Bros ever have a story mode before ultimate? Because I thought that was solid.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Mmmmm, Brawl's Adventure mode, perhaps? (Subspace Emissary)
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Subspace Emissary was the shit : it established as canon that Rayquaza can be cranky due do the mere sight of Diddy Kong. Fanfiction peaked on that day.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Right now I'm preparing to start XD: Gale of Darkness once again. Since my old laptop isn't working, I'm starting this fresh. I think based on what CosmicStrider had said about the starters, I will make the Eevee for this Dolphin file (which will eventually go to Mem Card B) Vaporeon, while my eventual main will be Jolteon. I'm sorry Flareon, I still love you but I'm going to wait til the end of the game to fetch you from a GBA game (and you'll be arguably better than both of my starters since I'm going to breed you hahahaha).
Edit: I changed my mind, gonna do Colosseum again first actually. Having nostalgic feelings again.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I was gonna buy Swarm for my PS3, but sadly it seems it got delisted from the store sometime in the mid 2010s. So I bought braid instead. (Both of those games were developed by Hothead, I’ll add.
)
It’s a really beautiful game that uses a concept not really used by any other games; . also the game is heavily influenced, almost like a non-satirical parody of Speaking of which, I know the game has a lot of lore but I might delve into it a bit more another time. I’m really bad at the puzzles, so I’m just running through the stages at the moment!
