Re: TTQ - Season 144 - dr_st
Just going to throw this out there, since dr_st hasn't confirmed or denied Goop's answer yet...
There's the Rayman and Rabbids Family Pack (which included the trash 3DS port of Origins), the Rayman Origins + Rayman Legends Bundle, and the collector's edition of Rayman Origins. Since that included a bunch of bonus content, such as an art book and part of the game's soundtrack, I think the collector's edition counts as a bundle.

Question 26: Find and explain two movie reference in Rayman Legends, excluding level names, characters or music levels.
And now that every question may become the last, here is the second and final bonus question. And it's directly related to this quiz!
Bonus Question 2: If you look back at all the questions in this season of TTQ, in order, you may find that they followed a very distinct pattern. Explain the pattern to the best of your ability.

Bonus: they went Rayman 1, Rayman 2, Rayman 3, Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends, Rabbids, Designer/EDU/Redemption/spinoffs. In some cases it was only obvious once you knew the answer.
The first five in this pattern are the "main series" games as listed in order on our homepage.

The terminator 2 reference where the green Luchador thing puts his thumb up.
The heist scene in Mansion of the deep is a reference to some French movie of sorts.

1: The green Luchador puts his thumb up at the end of Lucha Libre Get Away, like in Terminator 2.
2: The Dark Teensies are punched to the moon as a reference to the old French film A Trip to the Moon.

If you are talking about the scene I think you are talking about, then it is a reference to the laser dance scene in Ocean's Twelve, which is, unfortunately, not a French movie, so I cannot accept your otherwise correct answer.Greengoop wrote: Fri Jul 25, 2025 3:51 pm The heist scene in Mansion of the deep is a reference to some French movie of sorts.
You got the key progression in regards to the main series correct. For the things in-between, could you be more specific? Hint: consider the numbers of the questions corresponding to the "main five".PluMGMK wrote: Fri Jul 25, 2025 3:30 pm Bonus: they went Rayman 1, Rayman 2, Rayman 3, Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends, Rabbids, Designer/EDU/Redemption/spinoffs. Bonus question: it goes Rayman 1, Rayman 2, Rayman 3, Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends, Anything/Spinoffs.
Re: TTQ - Season 144 - dr_st
Both of you have gotten the gist of the question, but it's a little tricky. "There's Always a Bigger Fish" doesn't have a toilet per se unless you consider the entire level one big bowl
(P.S. anyone can reanswer)
Bah, never mind. It would be unfair to deprive lyndo of the point now.
The most accurate answer would be 'they have a flush chain'. But "toilet" is good enough. Even though you misspelled it.

Question 28: Where are the Noseless Rayman cameos in Rayman Redemption?
That's also correct, and might be a little more accurate than Plum's initial answer, however neither of you have nailed it specifically enough.Greengoop wrote: Sat Jul 26, 2025 7:15 amBonus question: it goes Rayman 1, Rayman 2, Rayman 3, Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends, Anything/Spinoffs.
I am talking about something that if I let you take over the quiz, and if it, theoretically, could run forever, you could continue the pattern in a way that you know exactly when to ask a question about R1, when to ask a "anything" question, etc.

Erm, actually, he also appears in the Definitive Edition on the Switch, but all the console-exclusive characters are squared away in their own section there.dr_st wrote: Thu Jul 10, 2025 6:37 pm Edit: well, for the sake of those reading this thread after-the-fact, here is the explanation:
1. Ray Vaas is only in the Xbox One version of Legends, although he appeared in some spinoffs.
To clarify my first answer, if I remember correctly, a flushing sound plays when you sit on the toilet in RRR and one plays when you send Seabreather down the drain in Legends. My brain tells me that one plays when you first land in Begoniax’s outhouse in Rayman 3, but I can’t be sure.dr_st wrote: Sat Jul 26, 2025 3:28 pm Both of you have gotten the gist of the question, but it's a little tricky. "There's Always a Bigger Fish" doesn't have a toilet per se unless you consider the entire level one big bowl. On the other hand, as far as I recall, the toilets in Begoniax's outhouse and Rayman's cell cannot actually be flushed. However, as far as I know there is one thing common to all three locations. Can you describe it?
(P.S. anyone can reanswer)
For the main question, the unsettling Noseless Rayman cameos can be found in the Lair of the Chessmaster and the Lonely Cliff.
Also, I’ll try my hand at the bonus question: the pattern should be 1 question about Rayman 1, 1 question about Rayman 2, 1 question about Rayman 3, 1 question about Rayman Origins, 1 question about Rayman Legends, and then 2 questions about any Rayman spin-off.

I don't remember the flushing sound in either of these two, but I could be wrong myself...RayGamer99 wrote: Sat Jul 26, 2025 5:43 pmTo clarify my first answer, if I remember correctly, a flushing sound plays when you sit on the toilet in RRR and one plays when you send Seabreather down the drain in Legends. 2 is not always the correct number. Final hint: I consider Designer/Forever/60 Levels part of R1 for the purpose of the pattern.RayGamer99 wrote: Sat Jul 26, 2025 5:43 pmAlso, I’ll try my hand at the bonus question: the pattern should be 1 question about Rayman 1, 1 question about Rayman 2, 1 question about Rayman 3, 1 question about Rayman Origins, 1 question about Rayman Legends, and then 2 questions about any Rayman spin-off.

Re: TTQ - Season 144 - dr_st
Main question: Henchman 1000, Razorwife, and Tily (good riddance to the last one!).
Bonus question: 1 question about Rayman 1/Designer/Forever/60 Levels, 1 question about Rayman 2, 1 question about Rayman 3, 1 question about Rayman Origins, 1 question about Rayman Legends, and then an increasing number of questions about any Rayman spin-off. For each time the pattern loops, an extra question is asked about a spin-off.

Re: TTQ - Season 144 - dr_st
Eh. Dark Globox isn't really a character. And if he is, he is only in GC/Xbox versions of Arena and not in Rayman M. And maybe I phrased the question poorly, but in any case, he's not what I had in mind.
This is what I had in mind!
Ding ding ding, that was the missing part! Truth be told, the extra questions are not necessarily about a spin-off - they can be about a multitude of games as well.RayGamer99 wrote: Sun Jul 27, 2025 12:41 pm and then an increasing number of questions about any Rayman spin-off. Looks like you're all square with Plum, for the time being.

And now, to wrap up the "extra questions" for this loop:
Question 30: The North-American PC version of Rayman M did a good job converting the branding to Rayman Arena everywhere, but there are two spots where the observant player can still find references to the original name. Where?
RayGamer99 got 2 points in a row and should skip this question.

Re: TTQ - Season 144 - dr_st
I would consider Dark Globox to be his own character, but his absence from the games after Arena combined with his role as Globox’s “dark” clone being usurped by Glombrox has made him fade into the background even more than the other Rayman M/Arena exclusives.
It’s comeback time, baby!
