I think it's just an aqcuired taste. Back in school I never ate it because I was like "Hey... I don't want no PBnJ damn it, gimmee a turkey sandwich!". It felt so, 'stale'. Yet, I have never actually eaten peanut butter by itself.

I remember eating Peanut butter on bread when I was in a situation where I had no other alternative to eat. It wasn't bad. But it was... DRY AS FUCK. :pfff: Again, it tastes fine at first, but then it gets *munch... mun... munccccccchhh... *slowed down* can't open jaw... NEED LIQUID*

As you get a taste for Peanut butter on bread, then you'll love it with jelly as the sweet jelly makes it EASIER to get down. OMFG.

Like. WOW. You know how many of those I can eat? ALOT. That's how many.

I just had a pbnj sandwich yesterday. So really, it's a sandwich that tastes good to me because both spreads together, complement each other and make a better sandwich. If it were peanutbutter itself I'd consider it the poorman spread. Yet burgers were also the 'poor' man food one time, weren't they? :hinhin:

I also hear non-americans just don't like PBnJ and wonder why that is. (That's what I heard from a professor, so don't quote me if I'm wrong)

I second Humch's standpoint on the issue. Anyone who likes peanut butter and jelly has genuinely terrible taste. Objectively.

I assume jelly means jam in this context? In which case I can not say I am a fan. And if it actually means jelly, then wtf who eats that?

In other news I'm really craving a burger right now, damn the flu, I can not eat :(

Hm, tend to go for a chicken fillet burger, with mayo and lettuce.

My burger would be a chicken burger with mayo, lettuce, cheese, and bacon. I never had a salmon burger though, that's one thing i want to try in the future.

Oh that's funny I did us some burgers earlier this evening; had meatfree mozzarella ones. We could have gone to a Hungry Horse and had something there but inlaws had other plans this time but oh well.

I hate burgers
I might like a chicken burger with sriracha or something but that's where it ends for me. I don't like these big monstrosities you can barely bite in, and when you do manage to take a bite, its contents will spill out and fall onto your plate. Leaving you only being able to eat it without any bread. I do love kebabs though.

You won't like the "Quadzilla" at Hungry Horse then, those things are literal monsters.

I've tried Beyond Meat™ vegan burgers a few times. They were not unpleasant, at least for me :hap:

Fuck. I'm hungry now. No food past 22PM, that's the rule.

Ain't all that belly fat disappear by divine intervention.

I don't think I've ever tried any alternative meat burgers. I've had veggie patties, but they don't do it for me.

I did like quorn as a substitute for chicken in some rice dishes...so perhaps it's worth trying out at some point.

Ooh I do like a beyond and I'm glad I have that option should I get stuck and can only get something from Mcdonalds on the day. There's a jalapeno flavoured beyond too I tried once, not blow your brains out spicy but it had a kick for sure!

It's what tempted me to try, axctually. My (former) company's restaurant served a cheeseburger with an alternate patty (base red beans) and it was alright.

So I figured I might as well die less dumb and try other alternatives to meat.

The selection is hit and miss, but I do consume the better ones from time to time. They're overall cheaper than beef, but not cheaper than pork.

Good point, no harm in trying at the very least. I tend to prefer chicken for my burgers in general mind, beef's fine but there's something about the chunkiness of chicken that gets me.
