Oh yeah that's dangerous. I'd hope you were stopping beforehand, and worst of all don't get pulled over doing that either. I'm sure the police there are much more strict than our Garda.

Yeah I admit that was not the greatest idea. I had been planning to be home before 5 when RD started but shit happened. I was stopped for the most part though i was constantly going too fast typing and being sloppy.

In fairness I have been known to shoot off the odd text while stopped at the lights. But only when I'm damn sure I'm supposed to be stopped, and won't be moving for a good while. :oops2: (so, only in Cork basically :fou2:)

I'd personally just wait until I got home, RD isn't that important to need to be there as it starts. I as a global mod missed the first hour and a half. (that's irt Jonster on the off chance they were actually moving the car while doing so).

Hahaha. I actually have never been as far as Cork. I've been in several other places, over as far as Roscommon, down in Waterford several times etc. Weirdly I've not been to Cork.

I know I have texted while driving at times, I try not to do that though.

That Cork thing also, Newlands Cross in Dublin was always an absolute nightmare of a road before they done it up. You would be literally 6 minutes at the red light, and then when it went green, if the traffic was too bad and you didn't get through it, you were another 6 minutes. It was ridiculous. You'd fire off a lot of RD posts stopped in that.

Yeah, I haven't much experience driving in Dublin. I'd probably be even less sane if I had :fou:

If it was up to me, I would not be driving at all, I'd take a bus or something to get to my destination. Too bad I don't live in an area where that's possible. But at least the area's safer.

You could do it for a brief moment at times, I guess. But yeah, stay safe. The road should always be your priority. You never really know.

This used to cross a very very busy road, but they eventually made it an overpass and you can drive under it, which made things so much simpler. Also you do not want to drive up there if you're even going to pretend to go anywhere near the city centre. :P

Things like that make me appreciate the other counties more, even the idea that yeah there is traffic in the city centre in those counties, but at least it actually moves.

In general if I had to I'd only do it if I was at a complete stop. Which for the majority it was. I'm just glad it was during a traffic jam or I'd be even more annoyed.

Yeah I have heard Cork is very busy too, pretty much not a lot better than Dublin. Waterford at least had it move even if it was busy. We'd go to Tramore sometimes, but the actual city is still fairly busy at times. The man down there who we rent the house from even gets the train when he goes to Dublin instead of driving.

Not exactly that, but a holiday home that was literally like 5 minutes walk or so from the beach. Very big house, like 7 bedrooms and 8 toilets. Each bedroom had a toilet, and there was one in the hallway.

"Tramore" literally means "big beach", so I guess :fou:

Whoa! That sounds almost like the beach house we stayed at. Though ours was not nearly as big and only had one bathroom. But yeah lke i said before I never want that experience again :oops2:
