Re: Burgers
Just a bit random, but Sweden had a place named "Bastard Burgers". I thought it was funny at first, but when I ate there it was actually pretty good.

Re: Burgers
I do wonder how folks manage that level of dexterity, is it something that's trained?

Re: Burgers
I imagine it's training and lots and lots of practice. The human cerebellum is capable of lots of wonderful things, but the effort has to be put in to develop the skills. Unfortunately effort isn't something I'm good withMaster wrote: Sat Aug 30, 2025 1:13 am I do wonder how folks manage that level of dexterity, is it something that's trained?

In that case, maybe I shouldn't talk about late-night snacking

Re: Burgers
Well so am I, but starvation is counter-productive…
Re: Burgers
I have been struggling with my image since...
....
Basically forever. But recently I've been trying to shed the pounds. Ten years ago I've lost 15 kilos in 15 days by basically moving back to a healthy diet. Can't do that no more.

Re: Burgers
Like many people, I put on a "Covid stone". I think half of it kinda gradually got shed once I went back to office working full-time in late 2022 / 2023. Now I'm trying to get rid of the rest, slowly and steadily… I just wish I'd gotten to it sooner, when I was still in my mid-twenties, but I guess the job I was working in made me not care about myself enough to even think about that…
Re: Burgers
Yes, hunger takes over rather quickly
But then again the first part of any diet is to squash that feeling at least a bit. Mind over matter. 80% of eating mechanics in your body are based on habit, this is what needs to be broken first.
