Like during a normal university day I'll have between eight and ten cups of tea My desk is on the first floor while the tea preparation area is on the ground floor, so at least I get exercise from going up and down the stairs all those times
Attaboy, tea's health. Until we get a scandal saying they're now filled with heavy metals....

Is your desk in a shared area, or do you have an office?
It's a shared area, but thankfully eating and drinking don't seem to be frowned upon

I'm also a junkie for energy drinks. Mostly Monster Energy and Goldenpower (Dutch exclusive) are my top picks. I prefer the sugarfree version of the latter.
I once had a moment of taking 8 of the Monster drinks and then crashed hard immediately. That being said, I've started on Celsius. Nice boost of energy, little can.
Oh, that's new to me... Here we move to a different room, which will be used for visitors in the future, which means that there won't be lunch room anymore

Oh my gosh! 8-10 cups??!? I usually only have like 2-3. Even in uni i only had 1 cup of coffee/tea and it was good enough!
It's funny, when I was an undergrad I didn't have tea at uni at all, I just had a bottle of water I sometimes drank from. But I think it's better this way now
I always have tea first thing in the morning here. Sometimes coffee, but usually it's tea. One thing I want to mention is the amount of fizzy drinks people have can be crazy. Like one can of Coca Cola is already more sugar than the recommended daily intake, and some people drink several cans in a day. My stomach would fall out and I'd get every illness known to mankind if I was doing that.
All that phosphoric acid! My cousin had stomach ulcers when he was young, I was told it could be blamed on all the Coke he used to drink! (I'm not sure whether or not that was actually true though )
As a part German, I am particularly fond of spezi. That in itself is not the topic. I went once to Five Guys in Lyon (400km away from the German border) and they had peach-flavored Spezi. Which was odd but not unpleasant.
But... It is not sold anywhere, not in Germany, not in america. So where does it come from?

I may indulge a tiny bit tonight and have some whisky to celebrate the record...
I'm not home for this record day, otherwise I would have enjoyed a couple glasses from my collection of spirits. I'll just have some wine at the restaurant tonight! But for now, it's coffee for me.
Speaking of coffee and because I appear to have been the last to have posted in the tea or coffee thread I may as well talk about it here but last year I got a metal nespresso pod that you can put your own coffee in and it's been a good solution to the problem of being given too many packs of coffee beans which I just grind down with a hand blender for now. The finer the coffee the stronger it gets it seems.
