< does kind of get this as well, it's something that doesn't even seem to go away. < got one of those big 1 litre cups in Lidl and hasn't used it for tea yet, but even just putting water in it, there is always this taste and even some smell from it. Generally even just using the flasks, < always feels the tea tastes different.

Yeah, < gets that's kinda just gonna be part of the territory, what with it being a metal container and all. But yeah, < doesn't think <'d use a thermos unless the situation really needed it.
