Man, I gotta replay this game sometime soon if I have the time! I remember thinking Origins is a bit more challenging and that's where a lot of the fun comes from, but I still enjoyed Legends just as much - gotta refresh my memory, man.

I only played this game once, so I definitely need a refresh at some point

Rayman Legends turns 12 today! :o
I think this will be a pretty good year for the game with expansion mods like the Journey DLC and Rayman Origins 2 being shown at Rayman Alive (both are going to be great!), and of course with the fan DLC still making good progress :)

It's scary to think how much time has passed since Legends, given it's the last proper game we've had...

Hi Master! I've had these exact thoughts. I actually vividly remember being excited for Origins after what I perceived as an insanely long time of no Rayman - and look where we are now!

Yeah, I remember how excited I was when Origins was first announced, I'm glad I was around actually for the excitement for when it came out. But yeah this new drought definitely trumps the old one. Which is kinda strange really, cause it's not like we've not had Rayman-related stuff. I think the first drought felt worse because it felt like Rayman was just gone after being sidelined during the original RRR games. Whereas even though Legends is the last mainline game, we've had a lot of smaller mobile titles and other things.

I suppose it's the landscape of gaming that has changed as well.

Oh yeah, you're definitely correct, I remember thinking the Rabbids killed Rayman's original franchise, so that's a bit of a different perspective than now. See you in Rayman 4!

God almighty that one turn of phrase has led to so much fandom ignominy.

I remember feeling the same, and ending up so disappointed in the final product, despite its many qualities. It just didn't feel like Rayman.

Now I kinda think that it's the UbiArt games that killed the franchise. At least the Rabbids you could kind of separate from Rayman, but how do you approach the series after changing its identity and making it all about slapstick humor, human characters, and other things completely unlike the original trilogy? We'll most likely get new Rayman games, but never again in the spirit of the trilogy. :|

Easy. You just wait long enough and do a reboot, ignoring everything that happened in between that doesn't fit with the new theme. :hehe:
