As for Homer's voice, it is the same actor the whole time, he just took a long time to figure out what he was doing with the character. You'll notice that he doesn't really get to his modern voice until Season 2 of the show!

Oh alright! ITs just funny how in every short so far his voice is so different. also he's way less dumb. He's just a dad, its insane how mundane everything is. Expect for the dead thing.. that episode had the first side character! the priest or something. Also are the Simpsons Christian or Catholic?

They're Protestant. Specifically the Western Branch of American Reform Presbylutheranism (which isn't a real thing )
