Ah ok, I might need a hand then as I've not had any luck getting it to run my end, it ends up with "createprocess() returned 2" when I try to run the executable.MarkedAsUnreal wrote: Wed Sep 03, 2025 9:43 pm Thanks ya'll. I'm super happy you enjoyed it <3
As for the steam deck, yeah, trough proton you can get it too run pretty well, like around 45 fps while still looking really good

I personally don't have a steam deck, so I can't really help, but you can join my discord server and ask the community for help with that. I'm sure someone who played it on the steam deck will help

I loved the demo, the additions to the original are all useful and welcome and the rest feels true to the spirit of the original. Watching the videos was great but playing them game was even better.
My only remark is about the Ludivs, it is true that the new design feels a bit out of place.

Re: My Rayman 3 fan remake
I managed to get it running on the Deck, in the end I think it didn't extract all the files properly which naturally meant the game wasn't going to work. Redoing the process from scratch did the trick. I did have to play with the graphical settings a bit, and I might have to tinker a bit more as the framerate wasn't too stable, but I think on the whole it was very playable!
So having now run through the game on the Deck, I want to say on the whole, it's a very authentic feeling game and I like how the transitions that were once loading screens are still there but just for you to run through as you'd like. Your efforts in trying to maintain the feeling of the original are definitely felt!
One thing I did trip over was first person controls, it's definitely nice having the ability to move in first person mode, but muscle memory meant that I was tilting the left stick...only to move about and fall off platforms. It's a me problem and one I'll have to adjust to, but definitely a nice addition nontheless. I think one item I'd say might want tweaking is the hitboxes for the gems, I can't help but feel like they're a little smaller compared to the original game. At least as far as trying to get groups of gems when comboing, I did find myself having to circle around to gems that I thought I'd have grazed in the original game, but missed here.
Also was trying to find the secret in the Heart of the World, wasn't able to find that, but dunno if that was down to me or it not being implemented?

Are you gonna make an option to turn down the intensity of the Teensie high way since they can cause seizures?

Re: My Rayman 3 fan remake
I forgot to mention I liked the possibility to move when in FPS mode, it's fun to discover the level like this, and it reminds me Rayman 3 development.

Maybe the throne can help you.Master wrote: Fri Sep 05, 2025 11:06 am Also was trying to find the secret in the Heart of the World, wasn't able to find that, but dunno if that was down to me or it not being implemented?

Re: My Rayman 3 fan remake
If anyone's curious as to how the game runs on the Deck:
Recording's a bit iffy, but hopefully it gives the general gist of how it runs - which is to say, pretty well.
Needless to say if it wasn't obvious, I'm pretty stoked on the whole about this remake. There are some minor details but some are subjective and others I think are easily tweaked such as the gem hitboxes I mentioned earlier. I also think there might need to be some tuning with the charge and the resistance of the piggy-banks, as you may see me get caught a little off-guard by having piggy-banks not break while i was mid-charge - the timing seemed a bit different to what I was used to. Again it's a matter of feel and tweaking, but on the whole, a very very impressive and inspiring effort. I can't fawn enough about how much I liked playing this, and this was on my Deck no less!

Haha, I just booted up the game again and rushed through to that section, and sure enough, jumping onto the throne and using to get to the upper level did the trick. Definitely makes the secret a little harder to find, and threw me off since I'm used to that very obvious ledge to grab onto in the original. This remake keeps surprising! Incidentally, while I was rushing to get there, I gained a great appreciation for the ability to skip cutscenes - for a game that's meant to be replayable like Rayman 3 what with its focus on getting a good score, skippable cutscenes are such a good QoL.

Thank you! One thing about the first person mode, there is an option in the menu to turn on the classic way of standing still and using the left stick

Ahh, ok I think looking through the options some of the stuff I brought up you've actually already addressed, I just was way too enthusiastic about playing through the game that I completely missed them! All these years of being taught to properly look through material and I let myself be recklessMarkedAsUnreal wrote: Fri Sep 05, 2025 10:26 pm Thank you!
