I think here in Ireland, and probably only here, "pudding" almost exclusively refers to blood pudding. People have "black puddin'" as part of a traditional breakfast (not me obvs, as a veggie!)

Black pudding or blood pudding sounds disgusting to me, and it's certainly not what I had in mind when I made this thread.

Yeah, it's weird that it's just normal here, but the minute you think of it as an outsider it just sounds disgusting
There was even a joke about that in the movie "Chasing Leprechauns"

Well that’s because it’s like….a sausage. If they did have pudding it would not be a custard like it is in the states, but something cakey and sticky.
