Re: Video Games Knowledge Quiz - Season 6 - Master
The physical media format for the PlayStation Portable was referred to as "UMD." Spelled out, its full name is "Universal Media Disc," and in addition to games, Sony distributed movies on the format (UMD Video.)Master wrote: Wed Sep 17, 2025 9:49 am Pirez starting to really build that lead. QUESTION 20 - How many archetypes are there for creatures in the Space Stage in Spore?
Seeing as I've done 20 questions and only now done a bonus, I'll break even as it was every 10 questions. So I'll allocate another bonus point if anyone can also name all of them.

Re: Video Games Knowledge Quiz - Season 6 - Master
Cat in a hat was created by Dr Susse, I don’t think they’d share creator lol.
But my answer is probably they have a game developed by the same studio

So why’d you consider it to be referring to the cat in the hat?

Re: Video Games Knowledge Quiz - Season 6 - Master
It’s a run where if you die, then you lose the game. In pokemon, you have to name all the pokemon, only catch the first pokemon you find on a route and if the pokemon faints it dies.

Re: Video Games Knowledge Quiz - Season 6 - Master
It comes from the names of two Pokemon YouTubers, where one had caught a Farfetch'd, and declared that if it died, his run would end. The rules can vary, but generally the idea is that you can only catch the first Pokemon you encounter, must name your pokemon, and if it faints, you cannot use it again. There's other variants, such as a soullink, where your pokemon's lives are linked to another players pokemon.

I thought the origin was from a webcomic, and it was a Nuzleaf?

Personally I would never do a Pokemon Nuzlocke run. Not because I couldn’t do it but because I like my Pokemon.

I’ve done various before, but they weren’t hardcore. (I.e. I still grinded my Pokémon and ignored level limits.)The Jonster wrote: Wed Sep 17, 2025 7:12 pm Personally I would never do a Pokemon Nuzlocke run. Not because I couldn’t do it but because I like my Pokemon.
