Re: Rayman himself
Free bath redeco, it's a win-win, obviously.
Re: Rayman himself
I'm sure my dad would be very happy to see that bath being green.

Re: Rayman himself
Maybe that's his plan on turning himself green after he takes a bath in it.

Re: Rayman himself
Enviously green he may be, but I shall claim the title of the color blue.

Re: Rayman himself
I guess there was this one time someone put green paint on my face, maybe it was a sign!

But if only one of us has to, I suppose I will defer to you and take teal/aqua instead.

Maybe I can convince Youtooz to make Apollo a real plushie actually.. If there's enough demand then they HAVE to right??? Or I could make my own and make him and Rayman kiss...

Re: Rayman himself
God really has made the perfect selection by choosing to make me and Rayman in the same timeline. He is the best man for me, even if man made. He is perfect for me, and he is adorable.

One day we were playing Gartic Phone in the Rayman Arena Discord server. I don't know what the phrase even was for this specific image, but a user from there drew it.

well hey, I guess that's a fun way to make a whacky Globox.

Submit 'em for a Youtooz plush and see what happens.

Re: Rayman himself
I don't really know where to talk about this, it doesn't need its own thread either so I'll just post here.
A while ago I listened to this podcast that Michel Ancel appeared on just last year: https://www.devgameclub.com/blog/2024/6 ... chel-ancel
I found this podcast a bit depressing because you can really tell he's watching his words after all the drama. He constantly brings up how almost all of his games at Ubi were team efforts, which is great but not when done to such an extent that you can tell he's doing it because he's scared of being misinterpreted. Anyway, only about 4 minutes in, he talks about his first one-man game from 1990: He mentions that the animation tool he created for this game was eventually reused for the initial prototypes of Rayman 1.
Yesterday my curiosity got the better of me and I took a quick peek at the files of this game. I decided to check the Atari ST version, as this one is at least possible to extract (still very difficult on modern systems). The Amiga version seems to use a custom filesystem.
Unfortunately I couldn't really confirm if the animations were made with the same tool as Rayman SNES, but the spritesheets seem similarly structured? That said, I'm not going to spend any time reverse-engineering this game just to confirm it, I'm not quite that curious. Maybe others will do it eventually.
Anyway, I just thought this could be an interesting bit of trivia, that this old game and Rayman 1 might have something in common besides the same creator.
Aside from this, I was surprised to find out that this game has a bigger story than most of the Rayman games do, and it shares some elements with Beyond Good & Evil: it takes place on an alien planet with multiple suns with a high priest... and "the iozu is in fact an internal fight between good and evil, which is in you".
