< does wonder if < really just never got the formal diagnosis < should have in that case. < had a very similar experience to ^, and < can only assume they thought < had ADHD to even put < on meds which are specifically for ADHD.

< was reading about Ritalin before, and its effectiveness was questioned because, as a stimulant, it makes you feel less bored when doing something but doesn't necessarily make you actually perform better at it. < certainly understands how someone could be "like a zombie" on it, and is pretty sure < knew someone IRL for a while who was like that, and might well have been better off without it…

Yeah that was the decision by <'s mother in the end, that < was better off without it. < essentially lost <'s personality and behaved so weird, while as ^ mentioned, not actually performing any better at anything at all. If anything, it was even worse.
