Speaking of sigs and availability issues… luckily mine’s safe. I asked Humch nicely and he stored a copy of it on RaymanPC’s server :)

No server is free, unless you want to have it crammed with advertisements, in which sense, it's still not technically "free". There is the option to host them locally but still, that will use electricity, it relies on your own internet being up, and you need storage etc.

Nah. I’m just wondering how many of yall have servers. I know you have one, you’re my website host!

I have no real reason to have one. I'd probably consider it in the future as a little project if I have spare random hardware laying around such as an old Android TV Box. It's not something I'd really need though. I'd probably be more likely to have something like a storage server if anything.

I don’t actually “have” a physical server at home—the hardware side is taken care of by my cloud provider.

I use a hosting service for my website as well, like Fifo does. However, I do have a couple of servers in my rack at home for some internal stuff between storage, AI, and VM server to experiment and learn with.

Oh cool!

Also Reese, You remind me I gotta invest in some external SSD! That would probably be a good idea since I hoard so much fucking software to just fuck around with. Like games, old programs, and stuff on my XP computer. Also, all my Sims copies I have on disk that I should probably back up..

It’s Canadian thanksgiving today, everything’s closed but it’s a day off so I can’t really complain.

Oh cool! When November hits, I'm planning to be 34 years old! :fou:

On a brighter note, I should have my new SSD by Friday, at which point I'll give my computer a good cleaning too.

Maybe with luck, you will ensure the audio related issues get fully resolved!

I am at least not having those issue with the higher buffer setting for now. I'll likely reinstall anyway when I get the SSD, so maybe it will just resolve itself entirely at that point if I'm lucky.

I didn't know this. It doesn't seem to be the case here, at least not yet...
I presume it's related to the Online Safety Act thingy…
