Re: Rayman 2
I really ought to play Rayman 2 on the Dreamcast again, and see how it looks through my RetroTink 4k, I bet it'd be great compared to my OSSC I used at the time.
Re: Rayman 2
It will definitely look better than what my TV does with my OSSC right now, where I can only use passthrough of 480p. That said, it still looks amazing anyway, but it could be better.

Re: Rayman 2
At least until you get an OLED TV again, which would be a spectacular upgrade in its own right.

Re: Rayman 2
Yall remind me, I’m planning on setting up a Rayman station under my bedroom tv with all the consoles I have that can play Rayman. I have most of them but I do need a wii u lol. I’m gonna finish origins and then boot this one up on my dream cast!

Re: Rayman 2
Outside of Legends unique Wii U features (which honestly you'd probably be better off just getting the Switch version at this point as it's practically got all that anyways), is there any Rayman game that's locked onto the Wii U?

It’s backwards capable with Wii games. I need it to finish… all 3 raving rabbids games.

Re: Rayman 2
If I were you, I'd at least skip Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party, and maybe Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 as well, if you're only doing this for the limbless lad.EdgyRabbid wrote: Mon Oct 20, 2025 8:27 pm It’s backwards capable with Wii games. I need it to finish… all 3 raving rabbids games.

I played RRR2, and while it was fun, Rayman hardly did anything plot-wise, which is odd considering what the awesome intro cutscene would have you think. As for TV Party, I never played that, and since Rayman wasn't playable there and only appeared in cutscenes where he was getting endlessly harassed by the Rabbids, I'm glad I didn't.

Re: Rayman 2
Indeed, Rayman didn't deserve the abuse he was given within the rabbid franchise.

Re: Rayman 2
RRR1 is actually pretty decent in my opinion, RRR2 is my least favorite because of the horrible live-action direction they went with, and RRRTVP is more of the same.EdgyRabbid wrote: Mon Oct 20, 2025 8:27 pm It’s backwards capable with Wii games. I need it to finish… all 3 raving rabbids games.

Re: Rayman 2
I think there are deliberately-malformed file records in there as a copy-prevention measure

It coming to 6.66GB is a pretty funny outcome, mind.

Re: Rayman 2
Does Rayman 2 really have 952 files and 73 folders though? That's something I never bothered to look at, that's...wow!
Re: Rayman 2
The Data\World directory in my Rayman 2 GOG installation has 2,057 files in 72 subdirectories.

Re: Rayman 2
What I do love in Rayman 2 is its music and the way it charms people. Especially in the beginning of the game. You know, Dream Forest, heheh.
