It was Melancholy Hill by Gorillaz, although thinking about it, I don't know if that song would even be classed as a rock song given it's more synthy than anything else.

Tfw yeah electronic rock at most, certainly not “butt rock” or “divorced dad rock”, maybe “white mum rock” at most.

That sounds like the ideal way to put on sun cream. :P
Looking at someone else's face while smearing it on your own? :fou: Incidentally I did offer the tube to my parents, but they didn't feel the need to use it on their own faces :hap:

tfw you find out your department's organizing a Hallowe'en party, via a "reminder" email, on two days' notice, when nobody sent you the original email last week :boon:

Exactly!

(Yeah that really is logical isn't it :fou2:)

tfw teenagers keep going up and down the road on motorbikes with one wheel on the ground while going well over 30km/h (the speed limit in the estate), probably easily double that speed, and you're amazed they never either fall off or manage to seriously injure someone.

Tfw teenagers are allowed motorbikes? Judging by most people I know, it’s sure not a great idea. :P

Difference between owning and driving tbf. Though you bringing that up did lead me to look into whether there were any age restrictions for car ownership, but apparently you can be the registered owner of a car at any age.

Driving obviously is a different matter as that requires a license to be on public roads, at the age of 17 iirc? So technically speaking teenagers are also allowed cars...

TFW you can't sleep cause firework season has apparently begun.

Tfw that’s sad but true. It surprises me how some fairly strict and knowledgeable parents have kids vaping and stealing from shops. (I actually do know a case of this personally, a guy I know’s dad is very scary and is really involved in scouting, though his son steals monster energy from the local corner store and tries to justify it. :tssk:)

I’d assume Steo would be referring to teenagers more my age, but that does pose the question whether 17 is too young to start driving on places like motorways.

All hail Master!

Honestly motorway driving is easy, for the most part I'd take motorway driving over town/city driving. It's literally just long roads and you just switch lanes depending on speed and on/off ramping.

Meanwhile town/city driving is rife with intricacies, such a variety of junctions, dealing with little unique oddities in roundabout configurations depending on whereabouts you are. And so on and so forth.

TFW you should've taken antihistamines, but chose not to.

I'm going to assume England also does this stuff around Halloween? Ireland has always been like this, but other countries in the EU are shocked when I tell them:

"fireworks on Halloween?? :pardon: ".

Yep it's Halloween shenanigans, but also the leadup to Bonfire Night. Remember the 5th of November?

God knows I keep getting reminded, and it's not even because of the gunpowder and treason for crying out loud. Tfw there's no observation to the old song.

What's special about the 5th of November? Apart from them keeping you up in the bump of the night.

Oh I wasn't aware of this one. I don't think Ireland really does anything for this, but it just so happens to be 6 days after Halloween.

tfw you have to walk the dogs for vaccinations again tomorrow, and it will be likely dark on the way home. At least these ones know how to walk, the issue is that neither of them will want to go in the door when we get there (they actually know what's happening), and one of them will be angry at the people he doesn't know touching him. :P

You are also bringing the dog in again on the exact same day we take ours in for vaccinations and a checkup? Cool that the timing is similar. :P
