I think you can see a glint in the eyes of people that refuse to act older. They light up a room, so not a bad thing to be proud of! My fondness conversations are with older people that are still curious, adventurous and ever creative.

I have pretty much always found it better to just have fun no matter what age you are. Of course, there are still times when one has to be more serious in certain situations, but it doesn't mean we have to act rigid all the time and forget to enjoy life / have fun. I know I act silly a lot of the time, especially around friends. It's when you can act that way and have fun without being judged for it, that you know you're around the right people for you.

Yeah, I still love being creative, like with my own characters, I still need to actually get off my lazy butt and work on drawing again. I've mostly been hiring my artist friends for things, but it'd be great to actually be able to be decent. Mostly just toon style like Reese is in my signature and emotes.

I just often deal with my usual ADHD struggles on that, and cause myself to get burned out, and I have way too many interests and hobbies.

I respect older people who choose to live untraditionally (and maybe a bit like teenagers), but if you’re still watching SpongeBob and “YouTube Poops” and eating children’s food religiously at the age of 30 then I’ll definitely find you quite obnoxious.

Greengoop I feel like I should tell you that a lot of people who are on the autism spectrum do actually live like this when they’re adults.

Well, I’m sorry for the autistic people who live like that, it was mainly for the people who simply refuse to grow up.

Could also be a sign of trauma, because most of the time it is backed up by a mental disability or a mental illness.

But I do agree that those people who boss around their parents while actively living like this are annoying. And I do realize that some of them are just assholes who do refuse to grow up, and some of them have kids! :shook:

Personally speaking, I don't tend to watch SpongeBob, but I do still enjoy cartoons - I've been watching the new Gumball series, and I'm looking forward to seeing the continuations of Regular Show and Adventure Time.

Also while I don't watch them regularly, I am still somewhat fond of YTPs, while most of them are pretty naff, there are still some gems out there and I admire the technique:

Granted, in both cases, I watch more than just those...

Eh, I prefer YTP's to have some plot than to be all random nonsense

Youtube poops are like lobster dishes : you need a whole lot of technique to make them palatable, and bad ones makes you sick pretty quickly.

There's nothing wrong with someone still enjoying cartoons, even as an adult. Especially from their own childhood.

I still enjoy all the old Cartoon Network, Nick, and Disney shows I watched as a kid, such as Dexter's Lab, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Flintstones, Scooby-Doo Where Are You, The Jetsons, Hey Arnold, Rocket Power, Danny Phantom, Goof Troop, Swat Kats, Batman The Animated Series, Digimon, Pokemon, Reboot, Samurai Jack, original Teen Titans, X-Men Evolution, and so much more.

That doesn't necessarily mean a person is refusing to grow up, if that's what you're trying to imply here. Personally I never got into "YouTube Poops", which was very much came after my childhood, and I don't know what you're considering as children's food in this list, but that seems like an odd take on it? Maybe you can elaborate more on this.

But regardless, I'm happy with my shows along with things like Home Improvement, The Bing Bang Theory, Rosanne, Everybody Loves Raymond, Full House, and similar from that era. Of course I also have my select anime, between Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Kai, Tenchi Muyo, My Hero Academia, and etc.

If you don't watch Spongebob and eat lucky charms past 30, you're living in a boring existence. Don't live by tradition.

I’ll get around Captain Crunch, but Lucky Charms are an absolute crime to the culinary universe.

No, Lucky Charms isn't a crime? I mean it's fine if you don't like them yourself, but that's quite unfair to label them as such. There are many people who enjoy them, such as myself and even my own parents. I have no idea where you got this from man.

Counter-argument : if you eat lucky charms at 30, it doesn't make you a man-child or anything but please reconsider because breakfast cereal are nutritionnally nasty as fuck.

As for shows, as long as we can agree that Hogan's Heroes is the best show of all time, you can watch whatever you like. You can even hide behind a VPN if it's a guilty pleasure.

If you are eating any cereal, you are already committing a culinary crime. So might as well go with the best tasting cereal. This is why I do rarely eat cereal, trying to eat cooked food instead. (I'm being satirical here)

It’s a joke, they’re commonly mocked by people because of various reasons, such as the one Pirez proposed.

I agree with this entirely. Doesn't make people a man-child, what makes a person that way is their attitude and mentality in life. However, I rarely eat cereal because I know it's not good nutrition.

I only eat cereal as a snack anyway, when we get it, I usually don't eat breakfast either.
