Would you pay more taxes if it meant receiving a pension when you retire?

Yes, the state should guarantee a pension for its citizens.

Yes, but a mixed model would be more efficient (50% state + 50% private pension plan, for example).

No, the state does not have to manage my money; I prefer to have it myself and opt, for example, for a private pension plan.

It's a no-brainer, number 1 for me.

I heard news on the radio yesterday about thousands of people protesting against this nonsense in London, and I don't blame them because it's ridiculous.

Also it pushes censorship, and blocks some websites that governments don’t like as a way to spread propaganda or oppress the people.

Which is terrifying. So yeah, definitely going with the first option...
I support the middle-ground approach, which seems to be used by some social media sites (Twitter/X, LinkedIn) - where you can optionally tie your account to real ID, and this gives you a "verified" status with some additional perks. But you can still use anonymous accounts.

The first option, hands down. Identity theft is real, and it's bad enough as it is for people who have to suffer from it. Giving up crucial identity just to access a website is a very bad idea on so many levels. Look at the recent Discord data breach with their customer service platform, many ID's that they got, they never deleted and that information can potentially be leaked out there.

The threat is very real, and no doubt this will be like candy land for hackers to get your ID. They always want to claim it's about protecting children, but end the end it's always about control. :|

This really isn't good for anyone, in the end.

Though on a side note, I think it's pretty hilarious how 4Chan basically told the EU to screw off.

Well I was supposed to changed the topic a few weeks ago, but there was a bit more of discussion here!
Are you happy with the music topic Greengoop proposed?

To answer Greengoop's question: 2000s-2010s had the best music. Stereo Love comes to mind as the first ever song I got hyperfixated on lol

[Original post 3 November:]
That's the second time in 24 hours I've come across someone referencing that punchline online

[New post 12 November:]
I suggest the next poll could be about nicotine pouches aka "snus", since I only just heard of them and they sound like a crazy trend :confus: Something like "have you tried nicotine pouches?" with the answers being "yes", "no, but I know people who have", "no", or "I've never heard of them"

I've heard of Nicotine Patches to help with quitting smoking, but this sounds like Nicotine Patches for recreational use?

I've never heard about those nicotine patches, but noted for the next one! I think if would be unfair if we don't take Greengoop's suggestion...

Anyway, I gave you the possibility to choose three different decades

And let's not forget about the previous results! It seems there's a consensus...

I’m only gonna use 2 of my votes and go for 90s and 2000s. 1994-2004 was a prime time for music.
