I was reminded this morning that this was used as the theme for the Exorcist, which is a film I don't plan on ever watching

Ahh Mystic Mansion, the level which made me really dislike the homing attack.

This tune always freaks me out. Mainly because it plays at a time when I can't afford to screw up (like being chased by certain people or chasing looters, like the track implies). But my gosh this is so good.

Finger Eleven- First Time
This band’s dropping a new album in 6 days time, and I’m definitely gonna give it a listen. I hope it sounds more like this album though, as I really prefer the sound they had in the late 90s over the one they adopted for their Self Titled, that they’d update again for Them Vs You Vs Me and make it even bigger. Goofy ramble over.

Honestly it gives a far more sinister and intense vibe than you'd expect for mere looters. Incidentally, I do find it interesting just how cinematic and akin to Rayman 2 BG&E's OST is. If you'd have told me in the pre-UbiArt era that Heral would do a Rayman OST, I'd have expected something more in line with BG&E. It's interesting because I don't know if I'd want Heral to do a new Rayman soundtrack nowadays since I'm tired of the UbiArt aesthetic and sound (not to say I dislike it, but I'd like something new now), but I know he's capable of other styles at the same time. The Jonster wrote: Sat Nov 01, 2025 4:13 amThis tune always freaks me out. I wonder why they didn't just use this for the Modern stage instead of that Taco Bell toilet arrangement...

I just heard the Sanctus from Karl Jenkins' "Armed Man" on the radio, and it definitely gave me "Dancing With the DomZ" vibes – wouldn't surprise me if Christophe Héral had been inspired by it…
The Sanctus is, of course, followed directly by the Benedictus, which is one I hear much more often, and is much more relaxing – one of my favourites, surprised I haven't posted it before:

Comfort Chain by Instupendo
I tend to play a Dreamcore or Weirdcore playlist whenever I play a Rayman game. It kinda comforts me in a way.
